4| The Victim Played by the Lying Snake

The two stunned, heroes and Felix turned to see Aletta Lawson.

"Hey, Al-...miss. How can I help you?" Ladybug asked, panicking all over again.

"Simple. I want you to confirm your identity with me."

"And WHY would she do that?" Chloe asked.

"It's going to take some time to explain. I can wait until you have enough time to listen to me."

"Well then, if you don't mind, Queen Bee and I have to recharge our Kwamis." Ladybug explained.

She then went behind one of the buildings and detransfornmed. Queen bee did the same behind another building. Chloe gave Pollen a very ripe grape.

Ladybug detransformed and gave Tikki a cookie.

"Tikki?"

"Yes, Marinette?"

"What should I do? I really don't want to reveal my identity, but I just feel alone sometimes." Marinette confessed.

"Well, you are the guardian. It will be your call, and I will be with you whatever you choose. Just remember who to trust."

"Thanks, Tikki. I think I know what my answer is. Tikki, spots on!"

"Pollen, buzz on!"

Both Ladybug and Queen Bee came out from behind the building.

I'm not going to say who I am. I don't want your families, or you hurt because of me." Ladybug said, looking to the ground.

"I see." Aletta said, in defeat.

"But who do you think I am?" Ladybug asked curiously.

"The same as Felix."

"So you came to the conclusion to Marinette as well?"

"Ye...."

"Why would Ladybug reveal who she is to you?" Chloe asked again.

"Because..."

"Why do you think I am this, Marinette?"

"That's...."

"What kind of conclusion did you draw?"

"Stop! Let me explain!" Aletta yelled, causing the other three to stop.

"I've been up for more than 72 hours! 72! No sleep! Gathering as much information as I could about Ladybug. There was so much! I have collected pictures from the internet, lots of them, and listed down all the people who got akumatized. All of them! Since Ladybug has never managed to get akumatized I also found that Ladybug always wears her miraculous, even in her civilian form. Furthermore, the hair style was kept the same..." Before Aletta could continue to ramble on, Chloe cut her off.

"We get it. You're a stalker."

Quickly turning red, Aletta denied it.

"Anyway, sorry to cut this short, but let's talk next time. I have business in my civilian form." Ladybug said.

"Do you still want me to take you home, Felix?"

"I'm quite fine walking by myself."

"Alright then."

The four quickly said their goodbye's and parted ways.

Ladybug collected Queen Bee's miraculous and they both went home.

The next day:

Marinette was running late again!

Tikki had tried to wake her up using a cold bucket of water, only for it to be dropped and hit the floor causing a loud clang, and a puddle.
