Some months went by for the odd ball duo.
Marcus and Sky stayed together as they traveled to a new safe house.
Sky taught Marcus some tricks and some safe tips while Marcus showed Sky his invention that turns dirty water into drinkable clean water. The boy felt comfortable around her and she reminded him of his mother kinda. So she allowed him to. She always wanted a child but since zombies are here she wasn't too keen on doing baby making anytime soon.
So. Sky adopted Marcus and Marcus has a mom in the zombie apocalypse.

"Hey ma! I'm gonna go for a quick run, get some water by the river and I'll be back" Marcus chirped as he grabbed a dark green cloak she had made for him.
Sky said that the cloaks help them blend in with the woods from zombies and from dangerous people if they got caught in a pickle.
"Alright be careful now. Make sure you have your knifes and satchel. " Sky said calmly as she cooked fish in the fire.
He hummed in response and kissed her cheek.
"I'll be back "
Marcus kept his hood down as he gently jogged to the thin stream of a river. He kept his eyes darting for the dead as he reached for a large jug in his satchel.
He smiled at his reflection as the water whooshed into the container.
Marcus hasn't seen anybody else in a while but he knew that it was just luck.
Until
It ran out.
"CMON MEN! Wash up!! Then we keep moving!!" A man voice called out as he reached the stream.
Marcus squeaked and grabbed the jug and run behind a large rock, peeking over at the lone man for now. He slowly put his hood up and watched.
The man was tall and seemed older. Black hair and mustache. The man splashed his face with the river water and dried the water up with his shirt. He stood and stretched as other men joined him further down.
The man saw Marcus and squinted.
"Hey! You! Cmere!"
Marcus gasped and started to run.
The man jumped and started to run after him
"MEN! GET THE CARS! "
