Alex slowly clicked the article on her screen.

"Hey Madison?"

She watched as the website loaded.

"Yeah?"

"Come here please." Madison took a seat next to Alex, adjusting the towel over her shoulders.

"What is it Alex? You look like you've seen a ghost."

"Daniel seavey seen in downtown LA with a girl before getting into his car with her," Alex read, a frown forming on her lips as she clicked on the photo.

"Why don't we member Daniel seavey is seen lip-locked with a blonde near Lotus Theater before getting into his car with her. The girl's name is unknown, neither is the date of the photos."

Alex looked at the photo closely, a sigh escaping her lips. She let her phone fall onto the bed, the image on the screen. Alex felt a slight tug in her heart, her mind becoming blank as she stared at the screen. Her doubts of Daniel had begun to change, but this single image changed her mind once again.

'He's arrogant and obsessed with his fame,' Alex had once said.

'His friends are the same way.' Maybe she had been right all along.

"You okay?" Madison asked.
"I'm sure the photos are old Alex."

Alex looked at her phone again.

"What a fuckboy. I bet that girl is a fan," she said.
"He was probably just trying to sleep with me." She sent the link to the article to Daniel on Instagram before blocking his account.

"Fuck him."

Madison wrapped her arms around her friend.

"Want another mimosa?" she offered. Alex nodded a little, leaning into Madison. She closed her eyes, the image she had seen stuck in her head.

Boys were dumb; that's something Alex had begun to realize and Daniel was no exception of that.

"Fuck him."

One week later..

Alex shifted her notebook under her arm as she exited the school with Madison by her side. Spring break had ended last week and Alex was unfortunately back at school.

Tucking a strand of hair behind her ear, she walked to the parking lot and unlocked her mother's car. Sliding into the seat, she threw her school bag into the backseat out of pure annoyance.

"I'm so glad we're done with hell for the day," Madison muttered, throwing her school bag into the backseat.

"And I'm glad we got your mom's car; it's way too hot to walk."

"I know," Alex replied as she inserted the key into the ignition. As she started the ignition, her phone began to ring.

She rolled her eyes in annoyance as her eyes fell to the screen. Daniels name flashed across her screen for the third time that day and Alex's patience was beginning to run low.

"He's seriously calling again?"

Madison asked, letting a sigh escape her lips. Daniel had made multiple attempts to contact Alex, only to find that his text messages would not send and his phone calls would lead him to Alex's voicemail if he was lucky.

Otherwise the call with get abruptly cut mid-ring.

The article had sparked controversy, especially since Daniel hadn't spoken on the article.

"Yep."

She sighed in annoyance and answered the call.
"What the fuck do you want?" "Baby?" Daniel asked.

"Oh my god finally." Alex leaned back in her seat.
"Don't call me again Seavey."
She closed her eyes.

"Please." She gently pressed the screen, ending the call.

"Wait-"

Alex dropped her phone into her lap and began to drive home, her hands tightly gripping the wheel until her knuckles turned white. As she stopped at a red light, she let her mind wander back to the photos she had seen in the article.

Alex distinctly remembered how he had held that girl in his arms as he kissed her and how close she stood. She thought about the small smirk he had on his lips and where his hands had been placed on her body. She clenched her jaw at the thought.

"You alright?" Madison asked.

"You have white knuckles."
Alex nodded.

"You are not jealous," she muttered to herself as she took a turn.

"You're just mad that he kissed you yet fucked another girl behind back." Alex sighed and let the car roll to a stop in your the driveway.

"What a fuckboy." Madison sighed. "Let's just go inside babe."

She touched Alex's hand. Grabbing her bag and cellphone, Alex slammed the car door shut and made her way inside.

"Hello?"

she called before making her way up the stairs with Madison and into her bedroom after grabbing a snack from the kitchen.

She heard no reply as she shut her bedroom door shut and flopped onto the bed. "Hey, at least we're alone,"

Madison offered, taking a seat next to Alex. She placed her hand on Alex's back.
"Don't worry about him. I'm sure he'll let you go at some point."

"He better," she replied.

"Or else you're going to help me hide his body." Madison laughed softly. "Let's do chemistry homework first, then we can plan a murder after."

"How boring." Alex giggled.
