One Fine Spring Day

It was a bright and sunny day.. The smell of flowers that was once asleep during that long winter..

A guy went out going towards the garden as he saw the spot, that was once their favorite spot, now has a flower blossoming on it.

The guy went near it as tears started to fall from his eyes..

He pick the flower and smelled it..  Your scent still lingers around..

He suddenly reminisce the past..

Krist's PoV

Today is the day that I would treasure forever.. For the first time I was able to hug you and kiss you fully..  A true blessing in my life..

This was the moment I thought you wouldn't make it.. That I prayed every night just for you to be safe...

It was the first time I felt proud of myself..  As I look at you smiling and laughing.. I know my life is complete now.. I know it will be tough but in the end it will be worth it..

As I watch you being checked by the doctor..  My heart hurts, I know you are in pain but I know it will be for your own good.

It was the first day of spring when you got hospitalized..

It was the hardest time..

The doctor said there is no hope.. That you only have a year to live..

That one year we did everything..

We went to your favorite place..

The amusement park.. We rode all your favorite rides even if I can't handle it..

We went to the beach.. Even if the doctor said you can't but we went there anyway..

We did a lot of stuff for that one year..

That day.. It was the saddest..

We are in the garden.. Looking at the clear sky.. You said you are tired and you wanted to sleep..

I didn't notice that those words where your last words..

I cried.. I know we did everything.. I know you don't want us to be sad..

It was after a month.. We are still in pain..  All of us..  The memories are still there..

All of us visit the garden.. We make sure your favorite flowers are there no matter what..

It was during your 6th month and we still can't move on.  It was almost winter.. 

Everything seems to fall down the ground..

The wind blows the autumn feels but why is it that I can only smell the scent of spring..

The end of winter is near.. I always get excited but this time..  I wish winter can stay longer..

How can we face this year's first day of spring when you are not with us.

Krist felt a hand on his shoulder..

"Why are you up so early?" a man said.

"Dad.. I just want to check the garden." Krist answered aa he look at his father.

"everyone will be here later.. Don't you want to help us prepare for today?" His father ask again.

"I will help dad. I just need to check here..  You know he loves the flowers so much." his son answered back as Krist's father saw the sadness in his eyes.

His father went back inside as he lay down on the grass. He looks at the sky while holding the flower on his hand up. "It is clear as that day. Are you doing okay there?" Krist whispered as tears once again began to fall down.

Everything was prepared..

Everyone came..

Krist walks into the living room...

"Krist..." someone called him..

He looks back and sees his other half..

"Singto..." Krist whispered as the latter walks towards him.

"I'm sorry.. I'm late..  My flight got delayed.." Singto tried to explain a Krist hug the latter. He cried on his chest as Singto hugs him back and pats his back.

"I'm sorry.. I know it is hard.. I was not here.. I too am grieving.. That's why I went abroad right?" Singto said as Krist just nods his head..

"I know..  I know it was hard for you the most.. I am just glad you are back.." Krist said..

The two of them went inside as they stand infront of an altar..

"baby... Papa is home.." Krist said.

"Baby.. I am sorry.. Papa was too weak to take everything. I am sorry that I left your Daddy through those hard days..

but I am back.. I will be beside your daddy from now on..

Please look after us Baby..  Keep us safe always..

We will never forget you our angel." Singto said as everyone around him is crying..

He hug Krist as the latter almost fall down..

"I won't let you go through this alone this time.." Singto added as Krist hug his husband..

"Even if you can't bear a child anymore..  I will still love you..  It was miracle that our Baby was given to us.. I love you.." Singto look at Krist as he kiss him on the lips..
