All it takes is one second to fall in love with someone, and one other second for your heart to fall apart because of them.

I'd like to thank and apologise from the bottom of my heart to all of you guys who read my previous article and supported me despite my inability to update quicker. This is another very short story inspired from one of my true life incidents. I hope you guys enjoy. Feel free to comment.

Song : Faded by Alan Walker

--------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

I stared into his eyes as the sun rays hit his face, enhancing the beauty of those freckles and making his eyes shine brighter. Oblivious to the butterflies crowding in my tummy, he came closer, my cheeks a deep shade of red, not from the shine of the bright sun, but because of the intimate distance between our bodies. My heart skipped a beat, and I gasped silently.

He stationed his headphones, his hands brushing past my earlobes, a soft touch. His hands encircled my shoulders careful not to hurt me, pulling me into a safe haven, a small smile on his radiant and handsome face. I was lost in the vast stretch of his lips, trying to catch up with the last couple of skipped beats of my heart, as I forgot how to breathe.

I hoped to get one little of taste of his soft lips, completely leaving the world behind, and entering my own Utopia. I did not hear the blaring distortion produced by the device that he'd placed, I did not notice the disturbing sounds that people made, I could only hear the sounds of our heartbeats merging, rhythmically in different paces, and then his, slowly fading away.

After all, it takes one second to fall in love, and another second for your heart to fall apart.
