Chapter 3

Yzabel sits on the floor in front of her closet. Her date doesn't start for another 2 hours, but she literally has no idea what to wear. She admits that it's partly her fault for filling up her wardrobe with nothing but office attire and pajamas.

She bites her thumb while she stares at her cellphone and the business card beside it. She thinks once, and then she thinks again, before finally deciding to give Belle a call. Yzabel just prays that the girl answers.

The line rings twice before someone picks up.

"Hello?" A voice Yzabel assumes belongs to Belle answers

"Hi," Yzabel answers back. "Is this Belle?"

"Yes, sino 'to?"

"Oh, this is Yzabel," She bites her thumb again. "I need your help."

"May nangyari ba?" Belle asks. "May ginawa ba si Abby?"

"Ay, wala naman," Yzabel clarifies. "We're going on a date kasi later..." She slowly rethinks all of her life decisions. "I'm sorry, this is probably weird."

"Uy hindi, go lang! What do you need help with?"

"I don't know what to wear."

"Ay, girl!" Belle shouts. "Add na lang kita sa group chat namin, may iMessage ka naman diba?"

"Yup!" Yzabel answers.

"Ayan, sige," Belle says. "End ko na yung call, ha, wait mo na lang yung chat namin. Bye!"

The line beeps and Yzabel stands up and walks to her kitchen to fix herself a glass of milk while waiting.

Her phone vibrates a few minutes after.

Belle: Andito na yung ginayuma ni abby hahahha

Belle: Pakilala kayo para masave niya sa contacts

Rans: Ako yung pinaka maganda mong kaklase nung high school

Sheki: Ako yung pinakamalakas appeal kagabi hihihi

Sheki: Pero wait

Sheki: Andito ka na, ibig sabihin sasagutin mo na si Abby??? Sure ka ba diyan sis

Belle: Gaga wag mo takutin siya na ata pinaka matinong pinakilala ni Abby

Rans: Trueness

Belle: Kailangan daw niya ng tulong hahahaha di raw niya alam susuotin sa date nila ni Abby

Sheki: AY MAGALING AKO DIYAN

Sheki: Vid call? Kung wala kayong ginagawa

Rans: Tara hahhahaa matumal naman shop ngayon

Yzabel: Game

The incoming call screen pops up a few seconds later.

"Hoy Belle," Sheki says. "Andiyan ba si Ecka?"

"Anong kailangan mo sakin, Bonita?" Ecka says, appearing on screen.

"Tanong mo nga sa kaibigan mo anong klaseng date balak niya mamaya." Sheki says. "Kailangan lang namin malaman kung ano ipapasuot kay Yzabel."

"Luh," Ecka says. "Awayin pa ko nun, gago. 'Di nga nakatulog kagabi halos kakaisip ano gagawin niya."

"Sasabihin mo o sa sofa ka matutulog?" Belle looks at Ecka. Yzabel can't help but laugh at the threat.

"Love naman!" Ecka protests.

"Isa." Belle warns.

"Basta, medyo formal daw yung venue, pero medyo malamig din." Ecka scratches the back of her head. "Basta ah, pag tinanong, wala akong kinalaman dito."
