The seven of them crowded onto the truck with Nine driving. Six was curled up in the back of the truck, sitting on John's lap. All of a sudden, the truck shuddered and swerved.
"What the-"
John nudged Six off his lap and swivelled around, registering the Mogadorians walking purposefully towards them.
"Mogs. Damn it." Four cursed. At the speed the truck was going, the Mogadorians would catch up soon.
Looking around at everyone's haggard faces, he knew everyone wasn't fully recovered from the previous battles. Looking at his friends, something clicked. He glanced backwards at the Mogs, and he made up his mind.
He jumped off the back of the truck, shouting, "Meet me at the Canada National Tower! Number Five's there."
"John! No!" Six screamed.
"Sorry, Six. I've gotta do this. The rest of you aren't well enough."
"You aren't too!"
"I know, Six. But I'm the best chance you've got. Nine is driving, he can't simply jump off, and Eight may be powerful, but his Mog cannon wound is kinda bad. And Seven's more defensive than offensive. And you're injured the worst."
Six was stunned, staring at him. "Don't you dare fight all the Mogs alone, John! Don't you dare!"
Four looked at her apologetically before turning away.
"John! JOHN!!!!" Six screamed. She made to jump off the back after him, but Nine held her back with his telekinesis.
"Driver here! Will someone please help me hold her back? She is damn freaking strong! Some help please?"
Seven and Eight immediately used their telekinesis to help hold Six down.
"I'm sorry, Six, but you know John can take care of himself. Better he go alone. You're not fully recovered, Six."
"I know, Marina, I know." Six replied miserably.
All of a sudden, they felt a sudden rush of intense heat and they all swivelled around. The scene that met their eyes was insane. An inferno was raging where the Mogs had previously been, with flame shooting forty metres in every direction.
"God! What the hell was that?" Nine yelled, shocked, looking at the scene in the rearview mirror. The Garde were so shocked that they let go of Six, and she ran to the back of the truck.
"That," Six replied, "is the power of John Smith, Number Four."
