Lelia's POV:

I wake up by the sound of my alarm. It's 6:30. I usually wake up easily ,but this morning something is just pulling me right into bed and making me not wanting to get up.
And after that it hit me: TODAY IS THE DAY I AM GOING TO MY DREAM COLLEGE. All of my life I have been getting ready for this college. I didn't go to parties, I didn't hang out with my friends after school, I studied hard and had only A's, I didn't sleep around with boys although I do have an amazing boyfriend- Michael.
Me and Michael basically grew up together. When I moved in into his neighbourhood he was my first friend. Michael is a year older than me and studies in a law school close to my college.

"LELIA", I heard my mom's voice calling out my name from downstairs, " Lelia, get up,honey! We have a long ride to the college and you still haven't eaten!" 
To be honest, the only reason why I want to go to college is not just because I want to become a journalist, the other reason is because I am sick and tired of my parents. You see I have always been the perfect daughter! For God's sake I have never tasted alcohol! I just want to loosen up,get new friends, go to parties like a normal girl my age!
" I am coming,mom!", as I shouted back, I got up made my bed and picked out the clothes I am going to wear- a beige sweater and some white jeans.

Like my mother said it really is going to be a long ride to my college because it is in New York and we live in Los Angeles. We are going to get there by plane which is terrifying because I am scared of heights. God please save me.

I got ready and packed all the things I might need on the flight. My boyfriend is already at his college so he will be waiting me there. My best friend- Heather,is also his age and she is studying law in the same college as him- they are classmates. I can't wait to see them.

As I was brushing my brown short hair someone knocked on my bedroom door- it was my sister!
" Oh my god, Evelyn! I can't believe you made it!", I said as tears fell down my hazel eyes to my cheeks. I hugged her tightly not wanting to let her go.
"Of course,Lelia! How could I miss this! I mean you are going to college and I am your big sister! How could I do that?", she said and hugged me back.
I loved my sister. She is the only one who could understand me and she was always there for me. But she had to move out because she decided to live her life and not by our parents rules. So they kicked her out. Eventually she found the love of  her life and now she is expecting a baby.
I went downstairs just to see some more relatives who were crying and sobbing because the baby of the family finally grew up.
After all that sobbing and stuff,
Me, my sister and our parents went to the airport to drop me off.

There finally I was going to be free but why did I feel so sad all of a sudden?
I mean it's not easy leaving your whole life behind and starting a new page. I turned to my mom and cried on her shoulder. I was finally ready to start my new life.

"Goodbye,babycheeks!", my father said and kissed my forehead. He used this nickname when I was a little girl.
" Goodbye, honey! I will miss you so much!", my mother said as she started crying again. We hugged probably for the 267th time today.
I turned to my bigger sister and hugged her not wanting to let go. We didn't need any words ,we just stayed there hugging each other.
"Okay I have to go", I said as I pulled off the hug,then I kneeled to face her belly and said "and you little buddy be careful! Don't hurt my sister and be a good kid!"and I kissed her belly.
I turned to my parents and said " I will miss you all and I promise I will come to visit every now and then! I love you!"
As I said that I went to the airplane and began my new life.
