Dear Theodosia, how to say to you,
Sometime last night
You disappeared without a sight
And like a flame
that flickers out too soon, you died
You're goneI dedicated everyday to you
You changed my life
You made my life worthwhile
And now your smile
Your cheerful smile, now it's gone
I don't know how to go onYou have come of age with our young nation
I bled and fought for you
Sometimes that seems that's all I do
And you and I tried to build a strong foundation
But you're not here with me
The way ain't clear for me, to see you go awaySomeday, Someday
Yeah they'll see me go away
Someday, Someday
A/N: I know 'ain't' isn't grammatically correct but I feel it fits better than 'isn't.' I hope you liked it, I'll admit it could be better but this is like my fourth songwriting exercise so I'm pretty proud of it, let me know what you think about it in the comments. Votes and likes are appreciated.

Dear Theodosia [Reprise]
Historical FictionI rewrote Dear Theodosia [R], it's set in 1812 after Theodosia's boat disappears without a trace. Taking her with it. It wasn't that difficult to write but it was a good practice for an aspiring songwriter.
