For a straight eight years, Jimin had followed Jungkook around and cared for him the whole time. He never left his side; when Jungkook had left for the bathroom, Jimin had stayed outside and waited for him. Jimin NEVER left his side.
On the fourth year in the eight years, Jungkook had finally realized Jimin's feeling about him. He was suspecting something in the three years, but dropped the suspicion when Jimin left Jungkook for Taehyung. Unfortunately, he didn't felt the same way about Jimin, he had liked Taehyung.
Jungkook was trying to build up the courage to tell Jimin about his feelings for Taehyung and not him. He didn't really think Jimin would remain stuck on him. He thought Jimin would move on and find someone else, but when the time came, Jungkook's expectations were high.
