It was nothing, really. Saguru could easily deal with "nothing". He had proven so many times. He could turn around and leave the room, erase the contact from his phone, ignore every ambiguous comment directed at him. What he couldn't do, was play deaf and blind to every smug grin and every trick Kaito Kuroba pulled on him. And there have been oh so many after his last heist. After them making out that special night, that is.
There were glitter-bombs and sticky chairs, double-sided tape on toilet seats and salt on Saguru's bento. How on earth Kaito did get a hold of that, was beyond him. It was as if the other one tried to get his attention, as if he wanted to keep himself on Saguru's busy with detective's business mind.
As if he had to...
Saguru couldn't forget Kaito's prurient moaning, the feeling of skin-to-skin, of hot breath on his neck. Knowing the one he shared this passionate moment with was in the very same room with him right now, didn't help.
Sometimes he caught himself sighing and longing for his classmate. For the grip of his hands, the feeling of his hips close to him. But then he stopped, composed himself and carried on.
With the days passing, it became easier to face Kaito. And when the next heist was bound to happen, he made sure to be able to partake. He attended the last ones too, so at least Kid would get suspicious if he didn't.
Saguru braced himself, for everything he expected to happen. But when it did, when they met, he was completely unprepared.

He evaded all traps Kid managed to catch the task force in and headed to the roof. Why always the staircase to the roof, he thought out of breath as he took two steps at a time. Why couldn't he for once choose the lift or even better the ground floor for his escape?
The night was dark and freezing and he had been in no mood for a scarf, though he regretted his choice of wardrobe as soon as he stepped out on the roof, confronted not only by the cold but by a million sparkling stars. Had they ever been so bright?
He didn't see him at first. Saguru was enchanted by the view, and in the second he wondered if they were real or magically enhanced by Kid, two arms wound themselves around his waist, pinning his arms beneath them against his body. The grip was so tight it practically left him with just two options - wriggle like hell to get out or resign himself to his attacker. As Saguru knew who'd be behind this childish act, he let the stiffness leave his muscles and sighed motionless.

"Are you going to keep me incarcerated until the task force arrives? Because if you plan to, you–"

He was silenced and his eyes went wide as he felt soft lips caressing his sensitive neck. A soft shudder went through his body, leaving goosebumps everywhere and Saguru couldn't help but roll his eyes and moan silently. He blushed involuntarily and was glad the other one couldn't see it. What on earth...

"Why, then... If it isn't Saguru Hakuba, the great Detective of the East. And I mean London, not Japan."

There was a playful tone in Kid's voice. Saguru suddenly became overly aware of the other's chest touching his back, of the warm breath on his skin. Damn it, he was too close. How could he...
It was this very moment two task force members chose to stumble onto the roof and Kid reacted in an instant. He activated the decoy not even Saguru had noticed before and pulled them three steps backwards into the shadows. There was no way they were hidden that well, especially with the striking white suit and all. The police officers stared after the escaping dummy and cursed so colourfully Nakamori would be proud.
They couldn't absolutely "not notice" them. And yet they set off a message via their radios that Kid escaped again. Saguru could hear the answer loud and clear – "back out and return to the force" which meant they would be alone again soon. He had to do something.
Saguru opened his mouth to call out to them, and Kid made his move. He swiftly turned their reciprocal positions and shoved Saguru's back forcefully against the wall. As he gasped in surprise Kid sealed his lips with his own and therefore muffled the sound. He felt Kid's tongue slip against his teeth, easily parting his lips. The other captured his hands, pinned him against the wall and Saguru could feel Kid's knee putting slight pressure against his crotch. He nearly collapsed right here, right now. Damn this impudent thief...
It was not until Kid broke from the kiss and Saguru opened his eyes panting with desire, when he realised they were in fact all by themself again. He'd be damned if he admitted how much he wanted, how much he needed this. Though he couldn't deny the soft fluttering sensation he had in his stomach. And... Well, below.
He stared Kid dead in the eye. No teasing, no Kid-typical smirk. The thief licked his lips provokingly, his glare matching one of a predator watching his prey and Saguru shivered subconsciously. When his attacker leaned in, kissing his left ear, he outright flinched as he expected something more violent.

"You took advantage of my weakness last time. But don't let yourself be deceived, great Detective. Between us I am the one stealing jewels for a living and I wouldn't mind making your heart part of my collection."

Kid bit his neck and Saguru's head lolled sideways. He tightened his grip on the thief's gloved fingers. What had he gotten himself into? Poking in an ant's nest, waking a sleeping lion. None of the metaphors worked but then Saguru was distracted. How could he think of something fitting and clever?
Kid wandered up his neck, placing kisses and deliberately sucking his skin. This nearly drove him crazy. He could feel him, feel his body close to him, yet he couldn't touch him because Kid wouldn't allow him to. The thief watched him intently as he relished every contact, rough or gentle. Saguru was absolutely helpless. And he loved every single moment of it.
Kid placed another soft kiss on his lips and Saguru tried to capture him but the thief was elusive as always. He grinned with the bright moon behind his head and Saguru was taken aback by the mysterious atmosphere of it.

"And in case you're asking yourself – yes, I do intend to do that whenever I feel like it. Good night, great Detective. "

Their fingers unraveled, the body warmth disappeared and Saguru was left with the ghost of a kiss on his lips. And then Kaito Kid was gone.
Saguru stayed put, using the wall as support and trying to steady his breath and relax, and with that he meant all parts of his body.
He wouldn't stand for this unanswered. Kid's, no Kaito's actions only called for one thing – revenge. And he sure as hell wouldn't be caught like a deer in headlights next time. He would be prepared to surprise Kaito once more and be on top. Again.
Saguru bit his lower lip and grinned Kid-like. The game was afoot.

*~See you next illusion~*

That's all folks. I couldn't bring myself to stop after the first chapter. Or the second one. Or... well, it sure was worth all the fun. I hope you enjoyed reading this little story as much as I did writing it.
Since I'm trying to improve - leave a comment if you feel like it. If you don't, then don't 🤣
Goodnight everybody!
Ciao, Seja
