"Shit" she cussed she was so late to work. She was up all night working when the rest of her co-workers didn't want to do it well....well they did it but it was complete nonsense so she had to "edit" it and also because she was a newbie even though she had been working for her for almost a year. She left her previous workplace due to some personal reasons . When she had first gotten here she was just a junior analyst. She shuddered as she remembered how the receptionist had looked at her then rolled her eyes.  She guessed she was having a bad day but that doesn't mean you should take  out at work. But she had her badge so she was able to go up. She sometimes wondered why people where life that but such is life.

Now two years later she is finally going to be promoted promoted to senior business analyst of the Marketing research team hopefully by then she would be twenty six and yet she still doubt she would be able to be social with the rest. When she talks to people she gets nervous, starts to sweat and say rubbish so that was one of the reasons she kept to herself. She just hated being in a place filled with people. She would rather be at home on her couch with a Chipotle and a book, getting lost into her own world. Sometimes she wondered if it was possible for her to just stay home and make money.

And today was the day Mr Colby's second son was coming in, his father had decided he was going to be running the branch here. She ran as fast as her legs would carry her to the front of the building. She walked to the elevator and pressed the button but it was in use. She turned to her right and saw STAIRS written on the door and took it . She could still remember how glad she was that she finished school early at the age of seventeen, then went to college a couple of months later in Norway because she got a scholarship.

She did make some friends in school. But they were known as the nerds of college, they didn't really pester them like highschool, it was just that they were really popular.... okay they were not popular at all. She could care less about their title. She liked them but after she finished she left to start working here. She still kept contact with some of them especially Alex, she was one of the best friend she had. She only had one. Sometimes she travel to visit her in Norway and vice versa. She remembered when she and Alex went for their first college party and she  disgraced herself by throwing up just outside the house. Even worse, after that she lost what little courage she had.

These days she could scarcely sit beside a strange male.. any male without her stomach twisting into a knot. No matter how many times her family reassured her that there was nothing to worry about, she didn’t seem to be able to overcome the party . Emily had been nervous, but Alex went to the Party with huge smile, thrilled to be old enough to join the festivities. She shuddered as she remembered.

They boy she dated only lasted six months and sadly she gave him her V card. She remembered how horrible it was, she just layed on the bed waiting for him to finish as he groaned above her, it had been the worst. She did try to go on a date after he broke up with her ,one day, but he had spread a rumor though out the whole campus that she was a "shitty lay" when he couldn't even make her cum.

They had both been talking and Alex told her about her family moving to a different country but they didn't know which one yet but of course Emily begged her to come here. And that Canada is one of the best country to come to. Then Alex told her she would talk to her parents, that it was a great idea since they had family there.

She tried to take two stairs at a time but it just wasn't working for her. She got stopped at the fourth floor to catch her breath. She put her hands on her knees panting. She check the elevator on the fourth floor and luckily it opened. She let out a shout of relief. When she finally got to the top floor she saw everyone sitting down through the glass door and Mr Colby was on the stage with someone who was likely his son.

She knew that The Colby group was one of the largest and most powerful companies in the world known for its excellent collection of different kind of businesses dealing in different industries and trade and the fact that his father owned it gave him a pretty big pay check. She had even over heard a worker saying he owned three house a penthouse, a villa in Greece and his Manor here oh and before she forgot a terrace in London. He even has a megayacht and a smaller one, he was just living the dream she thought. He went highschool in London and attend college in Britain, so that was the reason for his accent.

She walked awkwardly to a spare seat wishing the floor will swallow her because of how some them were staring at her. She finally sat down and let out a sigh. As she sat down she took out her glasses from he purse and looked and him well. He looked really handsome she had to admit in his jet black suit, blank pants and a white shirt all fitting his body perfectly it almost made her drool. She was brought out of her trance by Mr Colby's voice.

"Thank you all for gathering her today on such short notice and. As you all know I will not be around for quite a while and I have decided that my son will will stand in as CEO during my absence, who knows maybe forever. I hope my son will be a better CEO than I was and hopefully this won't turn into a white elephant for him. Everyone I present to you my son Hayden Colby" Everyone applauded him as he took the stand.

"Thank you all for the warm welcome and I hope to do well and make my father proud. And I hope you all will do your work accordingly too, I don't allow tardiness, and if there is the consequences would be very sure and that's All thank you" His accent was was so vivid. It was really beautiful she thought and it even added to his beauty. His hair was so pretty. Black really suits him , she thought.

After almost an hour they all left to their various offices and so did she. She left to go to her own cubicle which was shaped like a box only that the top was offf and an opening for the door. Her cubicle had a table with drawers which she kept her files in and a chair in front of it. She decorated her table to make it look more homey by adding a lamp in case she worked late, a pen holder a neck pillow and her favorite coffee mug amongst other things including her documents. She would soon have her own office in a couple of months, it might not be really big but it gave her the privacy she wanted and she was glad. She would have her own privacy and she won't her the buzzing of phone and people talking all over the place.

God she was so tired, she thought. She laid her head to rest on the table to rest for a few minutes. That few minutes turned to thirty minutes until someone cleared their throat behind her. She jolted away which made her glasses to fall on the floor. She picked it up and looked behind. She stood up immediately as she saw who it was.

"S..sssir" She stuttered as she looked at the new stand in CEO.

"This is not your home Miss west, I don't tolerate laziness. This will be the last time I tell you that now get back to work" He said and left before she could reply.

She groaned at the thought of him finding her asleep. He has only been her a couple of minutes and she had already gotten on his wrong side. She saw Sasha pass and waved.

And deep down she knew this was just the beginning.
