The Astral Guardians

THE PROLOGUE

The Prologue

Many millennia ago humanity faced a heinous foe named Qrynarians, (or so we thinks it’s translates too) a beast that came in many shapes of sizes, always almost all black with white and black face markings to some degree, though as we saw, the more red over white, the stronger the foe. These creatures fell under different categories of lethality. They were later put into sub-species as more of the same types with similar abilities were found. These beasts were thought to be sent from the underworld to punish humanity, though it varied on belief system as the years passed by.

To counteract this evil, a collection of higher beings forged a collection of seven stones each containing a part of the soul of a higher being and therefore encasing some of their abilities. These precious stones were then cast down to earth and across the globe to fight the 200-year war known as The War of the Iron-willed and those who fought in it were known as The Army of the Gods. And the stone-bearers were known as the Astral Guardians. Through the war the stones were handed down usually through family members.

Soon the Guardians had won their battle and beasts stopped appearing and had seemed to die out, being sealed away by the combined force of the stones. After the Guardians had won their war, they threw their stones into locations relating to their Gods as a thank you and a sacrifice back. And the stones have been left in their
places for these many millennia. Forgotten by time and history.

Which brings us to modern time, scientists have broken the ancient seal keeping these fiends at bay for all this time, and now they’ve started to appear again. And no matter what they’ve tried not even modern military might can keep the beasts at bay nor can the government keep the news under wraps as the word goes worldwide. And the stones are needed again. The stones have reactivated and are calling in new hosts to control them.
