The Lost FireBender ~Zutara Child~

Prologue: Fire & Water

The end of the hundred year war was the start of a new era, a true era, one where there was no fear of the fire nation. No one felt they needed to have more power then one element. The Avatar team, they were working together and apart. Sokka and Suki were working together to build up the Koyshi warriors, Toph had her own academy, building up her status in the world of Earth benders, starting to train new metal benders. Katara had started to become the Avatar's girl, Aang started to make plans of his own. This left Zuko to his own devices of becoming the next firelord, his uncle and the white lotus by his side to rebuild what people will know as a different fire nation, Zuko had the hardest job of all, to rebuild a corrupted nation. His father had left his legacy ruined, torn apart. His sister Azula hadn't helped in any regard. With his father in Boiling rock and his sister in an asylum somewhere, it was up to Zuko and his uncle to save what was left of their beloved nation. 

   Ten years had passed since then and Zuko was married to Mai, they had a daughter. While Katara and Aang were builiding a life of their own on Air Temple Island. With the stress of ruling a nation and being the Avatar's wife, things were hard on the Water and Fire bender, they sought out advice from each other on Ember Island. Trying to relieve stress, a unfaithful night had happened between the two. They could blame it on the wine, the nice Summer night, but they both knew they had craved one another for awhile now. Seeking something they both knew they shouldn't have happened, yet, it did. 

Mai, she wasn't stupid. She knew what her husband had down, she was prepared to walk out on him even, but. She heard of something a month later, Katara was with child, but Aang was unaware considering he was busy with a criminal. A water bender named Yakone, Aang had enough on his plate so when Katara said she would spend some time in the fire nation to let him deal with the trials, he of course agreed seeing nothing wrong at the time. Katara was there till Zuko and her child was born, a babygirl, Zuko had named her Ursa, after his mother. But, Mai knew what had to be done for the sake of Zuko, Ursa would have to be raised as her own next to her own daughter. Aang couldn't know. But Ursa would have bigger monsters to slay on the path  ahead of her, for Zuko doesn't know his sister would also catch word of her forbidden niece.
