SKASE: A Chase and Skye love story

Chapter 05

The rescue....

Chase's POV
We finally arrived at City Hall. Mayor Goodway was wait for us. She was biting her nails and freaking out. Chikalatta got missing a lot of time, but I never saw her act this way.
"Chase, Skye we need to find her NOW!" Mayor Goodway said freaking out. "Woah Mayor, chill. We will find her, just calm down. Take deep breaths and calm down, okay." I said. "Skye, start searching for her. When you spot her, immediately call me" I said at Skye. Every time I look or even talk to Skye I feel a bit warm inside me. "You got it, Chase." She replied and took of in her helicopter.
"Alright Mayor, when was the last time you saw Chikalatta." I asked Mayor Goodway. "Well...umm....we were watching tv and then she just....disappeared!" She said panicking. "How could she just disappear like that?" I ask.

Skye's POV
I was trying to focus on finding Chikalatta, but I can't stop thinking about the time me and Chase bumped in to each while we were playing pup pup boogie. I just love his chocolate brown eyes.
When I was daydreaming, I was interrupted by Chase calling from his pup tag. "Skye, any sign of her?" He asked. "Nope nothing." I replied. Every time Chase looks at me or talks to me I get a little shock or something. I feel warm inside me, but in a good way. "Okay, keep looking Skye." He replied back.
I have searched everywhere but still no sign of her. I wanted to Chase tell that there's no sign of Chikalatta, but I don't want to fail him or anything. He takes missions so seriously, he would never give up in anything. I hope I can find Chikalatta soon and head back to the Lookout and spend time with Chase. I was searching for her near the woods until.....

Chase's POV
Me Mayor Goodway were looking for Chikalatta every where. Where did she run of or fly of. Can chickens fly? We stop by to every shop, every house and no luck.
Then Skye called me from her pup tag. "Chase I found Chikalatta. She is near a cliff in the forests." "Copy that Skye, I'm on my way." I said and headed towards the woods with Mayor Goodway.
When me and Mayor Goodway arrived never the cliff, Skye was already there waiting for us. "Her Chickaletta. Come to mama." Mayor Goodway said. That almost cracked me up. How could a human be a chickens mother. I mean...what? "Mayor, try not stall her. She might fall of the cliff. Slowly approach her and then grab her" I said quietly. But Skye was not listening. She was running towards Chikalatta. And just she was about to grab Chikalatta, Chikalatta flew of and Skye was about fall of the cliff. "SKYE!!!" I shouted. "RUFF, NET." I shout out. The net caught Skye. "Net, retract." The net slowly retracted back and Skye was safely up the cliff. "Chase, thanks for saving me." She said and hugged me tight. I was blushing so much, my hard was pounding faster than a F15 Fighter Jet. "No problem Skye." I replied. Then we were looking at each other again. I just love her magenta eyes.
We were staring for about 10 second, until I realized were Chikalatta was now. "Wait, were's Chikalatta?" I asked. "There she is" Skye said looking down from the cliff. Chikalatta was all the way down the cliff. "How are we gonna get her up. My wrench cable is not long enough."
Then I saw a old bucket under a tree, and that gave me an idea. "Mayor do you have any corn?" I ask. "I have a hole pers full of it." She said. "Great, put some corn into the bucket and Skye put down your hook." Skye puts down the hook and the hook on the bucket. "So, what do you want me to do?" Skye asked. "Slowly lower the bucket into the cliff near Chikalatta." Skye slowly lowers the bucket. Chikalatta started to get into the bucket. "Alright Skye gently lift it up." Chikalatta was safety up the cliff. "Thank you PAW Patrol. You saved Chikalatta, again." Mayor Goodway thanked us. "Well you what Ryder says, if you are ever in trouble, just yelp for help." I said.
Me and Skye looked at the same time and gave her a smile.

Skye's POV
We finally rescued Chikalatta. It was also getting dark. "We should probably head back, it getting dark." I told Chase. "Yeah we probably should. Mayor, we'll give you a lift to City Hall." Chase said.
After we dropped of Mayor, headed back to the look out. Me and Chase were really tired. "So, what do wanna do now?" I asked. "I dunno, Ryder said that he will be coming back today but I guess there coming back to tomorrow." Chase replied. "I'm really hungry, let's eat something." I said. "Sure." Chase said.
We headed into the Lookout tower and ate us pup treats. "I'm so full." Chase said. "Me too." We both stayed quite for a moment looking so awkward. "Umm... what do you wanna do now?" I said. "Let's watch a movie." I asked. "Sure." Chase said excitedly.

Chase's POV
Put out of the CDs. I pulled out Fast and Furious 8. It's pretty awesome movie. The fight scenes and car chases, just perfect. "Let's watch Fast and Furious 8." I asked. "I don't know, I don't really like the movie." Skye said. "Why?" I asked. "Well I thick it's too violent and...I just don't like it." She said in a unhappy voice. Skye is not really into movies like that. I think it's too violent compared to a calm pup like that.
"Okay then, what do you wanna watch?" I asked. "What I about Ford V Ferrari?" She asked. "Sure, why not." I said. I don't wanna make Skye sad or anything, I just make her feel happy. I hate seeing her sad. As long she's happy I'm happy.
We turn on the movie, and I gotta say the movie it actually pretty good. I'll give 5 star rating.

While we were watching the movie, Skye slowly laid against me. When I looked at her she was asleep. I wanted to turn off the movie so she can sleep well, but I didn't wanna wake her up so I didn't move an inch. Thankfully the remote was right next to so I turned the volume down.
Then I left her started to shiver a bit. I slowly moved away from her so I can get a blanket from her pup house. When I was looking for her blanket I so photo laying in her pup. It was a picture of me and Skye on the Friendship day. Why would she have a picture of me and Skye. Does she like me?
I headed back to the Lookout tower. I turned of the tv and lights. I gently laid the blanket over her and laid against her to keep her warm a bit.
After awhile a stated to become sleepy a bit. I didn't wanna go to sleep. What if something happens to Skye in the middle of the night. I hope nothing happens to her. I finally decided go to sleep. If I'm here, nothing is gonna happen to Skye. "I love you Skye." I whisper into her ear. Hope she didn't her it.
Then after awhile, I cared her on my back and put her next to me in my pup house.
