"you're blessed Dean, Momma knows you are, angels are watching over you. Heavens got a plan for you." Mary Winchester looked down at her bright wide green eyed child as he gazed up at her from his crib. she smiled down on him longingly, knowing that this would be the last time she would be seeing her son for awhile.
"you ready love?" John Winchester leaning into the room whispered "the car is warm and ready to go." he smiled at his pregnant wife who stroked her stomach lovingly.
"almost, I just... I don't want to leave him here..." Mary looked worriedly at her waiting husband then back at now a sleeping Dean.
"he will be fine Mary, its you that needs to get to the hospital, little Alicia is waiting to come out!" john cooed at Mary's stomach.
"how do you know its going to be a girl?" she looked down at her stomach "right my little Sammy?" John laughed and scrunched up his nose.
"well I think little John would like to come out then." john pushed off the doors entrance and took hold of his wife's arm, slowly leading her out of the room.
"don't worry Mary, Bobby will take good care of Dean while we are away."
10 Years Later:
"Dean! go get your brother ready for school! you both are walking, I have some business to do, you and Sam are to go STRAIGHT over to Bobby's after school today." John grabbed his light brown duffle bag filled with guns, holy water, salt, and many other contraptions that would be needed for this weeks hunt.
"But dad! you said I could go with you this time!" Dean looked at his dad pleadingly, he had hoped to go on a hunt with his dad sometime soon. John had been teaching Dean for a year now from gun shooting to laying salt, to Demon exorcisms. Dean had practiced night and day, he would do target practice with squirrels in the woods behind the run down motel they had been living in for the past two months, while every night he would check the salt barrier around all the doors and windows, locking and securing them from any intruders, human.. or not.
"Not this time Dean, you have to stay and look out for your brother." John Grabbed ahold of his army green jacket grabbed his car keys to his '67 Chevy Impala and opened the door to leave.
"But dad! you PROMISED!" Dean screamed in frustration, which backfired. John turned around and stalked over to Dean who shrunk back in fright.
"do not disobey me Dean, you are to stay here and watch your brother! do you understand me?John kept his stare harsh even if it killed him to see his son's eyes fill with tears.
"yes sir." Dean held back his tears until John nodded curtly and hastily walked out, right before shutting the door he turned around and spoke in a hushed voice.
"relay the salt and lock the door when it shuts, the rife is behind the toilet. Watch Sam, Dean." then left.
Dean ran to the window and watched as his dad walked over to the Black car that Dean dreamed of riding in while him and his dad went demon hunting together. the engine roared to life as John placed the keys in. in a matter of a few seconds he was pulling out of the motel parking lot and pulling onto the highway. leaving Dean to fend for himself and Sam.
"Sam! hurry the hell up! we are going to be late for class!" Dean hollered back to his brother who was slowly walking behind Dean as they walked down the side of the street.
"since when did you start caring about whether or not we get to school?" Sam shot back slightly annoyed that Dean for the 10th time had yelled at him to hurry up.
" I dont care about me, I care about you!" Dean shot back.
"Bull! I bet you are just trying to get it in with Lisa..." Sam pouted. Dean was caught off guard by his brothers words... whether they were true or not, Dean prefered his little brother not to know about his ' extracuricular activities'
"who told you that?" Dean stopped in his tracks looming over Sam. Sam quickly looked down and mumbled under his breath just out of ear shot that he hadn't heard, he had seen Dean and Lisa going into the janitors closet a few days ago.
"Sam Whinchester?" the teacher called out as he took attendance. the response was silence and a slight cough of a student in the back of the room signaled that again Sam was not going to be present in class.
"Im here! Im Here!" a rather distant voice carried down the hallway as Sam ran as fast as he could with his rather heavy, book filled, backpack.
Some kids in the back of the room snickered as a short, gangly, and rather winded Sam crashed through the door.
"I-I-I'm S-sorry" Sam muttered as he headed to his usual seat in the back of the room.
"Mr.Winchester... May I ask why you are late...again?" Mr.Johns quirked and eyebrow quizzically.
"Uh-it-its's because-"
"It's none of your business is what it is." Dean's voice came from the door.
"Sam is here, that's all that matters, and I recommend you drop the subject. It was my fault." Dean eyed the teacher sternly.
"If you have a problem, you can contact me here." Dean handed a number to the teacher who took it questioningly.
"Thank you for this Dean..I'll be sure to give it a call." Mr.Johns growled.
"See you later Sammy." Dean sent a quick smirk and wink to his brother who had seemed to have shrunk into his jacket, which was much too big for his small body to begin with, and with a curt nod to the teacher and a flirtatious wink to the drooling girls Dean left the room to attend his own which he was now 20 minuets late to.
"Fuck..."
