The blue Seawing ran side by side with a smaller seawing. It was noticeable that it wasn't a dragonet, but not fully grown. The duo's colors contrasted each other. One was blue, the other was pink. The pink dragon looked up at their friend.
"Aqua, do you think the kingdom will miss us?" The blue dragon, Aqua, looked down.
"Some might. I know a few will, but not many.." The pink seawing looked down. "Oh, ok.."
"Sorry, Coral. But we need to accept our fate and move on. We need to find a new place, a new home. Somewhere where we will be loved and accepted." Aqua stated, trying to lower his voice to comfort the pink seawing, Coral.
"I know that! But where will we ever be accepted?! The other tribes don't like us! Heck, you're a PRINCE! You expect them to LIKE us?!" Coral's voice rose, her frustration becoming noticeable.
"Coral we can't just go back! They don't like us! You should know this!" The pink seawing looked hurt at Aqua's statement.
"I know.. I'm just going to miss them.."
"Me too. Now come on, let's find somewhere to stop for the night."
The duo walked along, occasionally flying. They passed by many different places, and finally came across a large cave by a rainforest. Aqua led the way in, checked it out, and Coral followed behind. The two watched the sunset from the mouth of the cave, the sky turning beautiful reds and pinks.
"I wonder if it looks like this every night..." Coral asked innocently. Aqua smiled at this.
"No clue, but you should probably sleep" The dragon replied. Coral yawned and went to a dark spot of the cave and laid down, closing her eyes. Aqua sat still at the mouth of the cave, motionless. He listened for anything out of the ordinary, yet nothing was there. The dragon yawned silently, getting tired. He knew he couldn't sleep, though, or else he would be putting his friend in danger. He looked around, taking in the silent, nighttime air.

A few hours had passed. Coral was sleeping soundly, and Aqua still sat at the mouth of the cave. He occasionally got up and paced around, forcing himself to stay awake. He had to, or else they could both be dead next thing they knew it. He sighed and put his head on his talons, bored. He wasn't used to staying up all night. He was used to being safely asleep in his room with the guards at the entrance to the palace. The change would be hard, and he knew it. Then he heard it. The crash.
