Y/N's POV
Rosetta Diner
Monday
19:45 pm

I stood behind the counter, staring at the clock which hung above the door.
It was almost eight, meaning that my shift is almost over and I could finally go home.

My eyes began wandering around the almost empty diner.

The tabletops were blue, reflecting the lights outside.
The music section was empty, leaving born to die by Lana Del Rey to play.
The whole place smelt of coffee and pastries from today's rush hour. I laughed remembering how my co-worker, Xuan's jaw dropped as her eyes had laid upon the packed diner.
You can say it was a great day for this place.

Regaining consciousness I began to scan around.

4 people sat here.

A teenage couple on a date, master ling, a tai chi teacher who always stops by and a man I didn't even notice walk inside, sitting and stirring his coffee.

Curiously I begun to move my body forward, trying to see who he was but at the same time I had to not seem creepy. Walking slowly along the long countertop, I saw that he had jet black, messy hair which swings across his forehead, pale skin, pink plump lips and brown eyes. Mahn those brown eyes. He wore a black hoodie and black jeans that had a silver chain attached to them. Tattoos spread across the back of his hand as I counted the amount of jewelry he wore. 3 necklaces sat around his neck, rings on all his fingers except his ring fingers. Hm, I might just have a chance with him. Tracing back to his face, I saw that he had 3 piercings on his left ear. The right side, I could not see. Refocusing my point of view, I just stood in awe.

How could someone so beautiful exist?

I questioned myself.

I didn't even realise that at that point I was just full on staring at him, examining all of his gorgeous facial features until I was caught off guard. He had turned to look back at me and at that moment we were just staring at each other, wondering who was gonna make the first move, well that was until I started to get shy and quickly turned away. As I walked away in shame I heard him slightly chuckle. Gosh I really embarrassed myself.

"Alright guys, it's almost time for the restaurant to close up", I spoke as I tried to distract myself by beginning to wipe the counter top.

Dropping my head, I hoped that the mysterious man didn't come up to me.

"Goodnight, I'll see you tomorrow Y/N", Master Ling said as he payed for his cherry pie.

"I'll see you too Master and have a good night", I replied respectfully bowing. "Remember to get lots of rest and to take your medication okay".

"I will, I will don't worry yourself", he said, laughing in response.

"I just care", I smiled at him watching as he exited the diner.

6 minutes left.

The couple had already paid and left so now it was only that mysterious man.

"Hey you should get going I'm going to close up pretty soon", I said, trying to avoid eye contact with him.

All I got in response was a deep, awkward stare.

I just slowly walked away and went to the back to change.

When I got back I had noticed that the guy had left and didn't even say goodnight. I just sighed looking at the empty diner.

As my eyes wandered around I  noticed a note on the back of a bill I don't remember writing with some money on top of it.

dear Y/N,
I love your carrot cake
It's the best I've ever tasted.
sincerely yours,
j.jk

Sighing, i stood there unaware of what to feel, sad because i don't even know what his name is or happy because he liked my desert.

A poker face sat on me as I went out and closed the diner.
