summer break

Conversations will be written in this way:

Mike - Hey!

Will - Oh, hey Mike.

It's the summer of 1986. Every school just finished for summer break. The students were screaming of joy as they ran out of the door to begin summer break. Every single pupil left the building except for six students. Those students were Mike, Will, Dustin, Lucas, Jane and Max. Mike is a sixteen year old boy with kinda long black hair and wears a tan jacket and black jeans. Will is a sixteen year old boy with a chestnut brown bowl cut and usually wears a plaid shirt with colourful jeans. Will is also referred to as zombie boy. This is because three years ago, Will was kidnapped and ended up in another dimension called The Upside Down and they found his body in the water but then his mother found him alive later on. Dustin is a sixteen year old boy with curly, chocolate brown hair and wears a trucker cap. Dustin was born without a collarbone and because of this his teeth comes in later than others, this is a condition called cleidocranial dysplasia. Lucas is a seventeen year old African-American boy who often wears a red jacket and brown corduroy pants. Jane is a fifteen year old girl who has long, nice brown hair and wears a leather jacket with bright jeans. Jane is also referred to as Eleven. Jane 'Eleven' escaped from a government lab to explore and discover things outside of the dangerous facility. Last but not least is Max, Max is a fifteen year old girl with soft ginger hair and wears blue jeans and a red jacket. All six of them were in the AV room planning things out for summer.

Dustin - Guys! There's a Dungeons & Dragons convention somewhere around the start of June. We absolutely have to go!

Lucas - Dustin, how are we gonna get there? None of us have a drivers license and I'm more than sure Steve isn't going to take us.

Dustin - Well Lucas, there is a thing called ASKING. If we at least ask, he might take us. It's not that hard to ask someone.

Lucas - That's funny because the last time we had Steve drive is when you got him involved with the demogorgons and Dart. I'm more than sure he doesn't want us to involve him in our shenanigans.

Dustin - Listen, I know we got him into a lot of trouble, but I'm sure this time it won't be a problem. Considering this is a convention and it isn't a war zone I'm sure Steve won't mind.

Lucas sighs.

Lucas - Fine. Go and ask Steve, but I assure you he's going to say no.

Dustin runs to the school office to give Steve a quick call. Meanwhile, the rest of the party tries to figure out what they're planning on doing.

Mike - I think we should go to Troy's party this weekend. I know he hates us but everyone from our grade is going to be there and plus, there's going to be alcohol provided.

Max - Since when do you drink?

Mike - Uhm...sometimes when my dad leaves out beers, I take some. I just didn't tell you guys about it because I didn't want you thinking I'm an alcoholic.

Will - Mike, you're basically an alcoholic if you're only going to Troy's party for the booze.

Mike - Well....unless you have any better ideas for us, Will?

Will - We could go to the Dungeons & Dragons convention with Lucas and Dustin, it sounds like a lot of fun!

Max - I wouldn't mind that. I used to play that with my cousin all the time before she moved to Florida.

Jane - What's Dungeons and Dragons?

Max was shocked that Jane didn't know what Dungeons and Dragons was.

Max - You're being serious! You really don't know what Dungeons and Dragons is!

Mike - Max, calm down. Jane. Dungeons and Dragons is  a role playing game where you get to cast spells and complete quests.

Jane - Quests?

Mike - Jane, we'll talk about this later but at the moment we need to know if Steve can or cannot take us

Lucas - I assure you guys he's going to say n-

Dustin bursts through the door super fast, panting heavily and clearly out of breath.

Dustin - Guys! You won't believe it!

Will - What?
