Stevie Carter has wanted one thing her whole life: to be someone in the music industry. When she turned eighteen she moved across the country to Los Angeles to devote herself to her music. After months slaving away making music at night and working at a record store during the day she was beginning to think it was never going to happen for her.
Until one day something changes.
August Blakely is famous. Or at least his band Aurora Rising is. Fresh off their first world tour their fans are ravenous for new music. Only problem is they haven't written any. With a million teenage girls and an angry record label breathing down their necks the boys are out of options. When one of August's band mates stumbles across an unknown producer and enlists her help writing the new album, August is furious. Yet as he gets to know her, he can't help but be drawn to Stevie.
