Today should have been a normal day at school. Westchester County Day hardly ever changes. But when I got to my locker I noticed something weird. There was a new girl, hanging around my locker. I knew she was new, I know everybody at this school. Most of them can be found grovelling as I walk by. But this girl was a little different. She was doodling in some silly tacky notebook, not paying any attention to the clearly more popular divas she was standing next to. She was wearing an unbelievably tacky, cheap, outfit that probably came from a dollar store., but she almost made it work. She was really pretty. Not by my usual standards of course. She had some slight acne, and her eyebrows were thick as if she didn't trim them. She was barely wearing any makeup, which somehow made her eyes even more noticeable. They were a deep green, and mesmerizing. I tried not to focus on her eyes. Mine are prettier anyways. Still, this girl was an enigma. How had she ended up here? She clearly didn't care about fitting in or dressing wealthy. I tried not to feel guilty. She could act how she liked and no one was shaming her for it, and despite no trying she seemed confident in her body. It doesn't matter. She looked like a clown, and I needed to let her know that. Why was she by my locker anyway? She was standing where Jessica usually does. We're working on getting Jessica's locker switched there, and this dork had the nerve to take her place.
