Prince Merlin was sitting in the garden of Acrualan kingdom, he was making flower crowns for all of his family and knights. "Prince Merlin!" he heard his most trusted knight Lancelot yell for him, "I'm in the garden!" He yelled back, " there you are" Lancelot says " you have to go to training young prince" he explains, Merlin just gives him an annoyed look while getting up " fine,but I wasn't done with the crowns". The get to the training field and everyone greets Merlin. The servants try to get Merlin's things before he can, but he runs to beat them. " I got it guys, it isn't that hard" he says with a smile, as training begins Merlin speaks "how about a tournament?" All of his knights look at each other with a knowing look. " prince, you're the best swordsman in all of the lands, if we go against you in a tournament we'd all lose one of our eyes" knight Fredric states, " come in guys I'll go easy on you" Merlin says with puppy eyes, everyone gives him a suspecting look but agrees.

After a while queen Hunith frantically calls for Merlin, running after her are is his younger sister and guards. "What's wrong mother?" Merlin asks worried, " we need to go.Now!, the kingdom is under attack" All the knights run to see where they're needed while Lancelot stays by Merlin's side. "By who my queen?" "Yes mother, who?" They ask Hunith, "you're uncle, Gavinus" she says as she grabs Merlin and his sister Eloise. While running Merlin stops, " what about father?" " he is in a battle with his brother, for the throne" Hunith answered " but we can't just leave him" Merlin says while Turing back to the royal throne room "Merlin!!" his mother yelled after him, but he kept running. When he got to the throne room he saw his father laying on the ground his uncle over him. "brother" he weakly called out, his uncle just laughed as he stabbed him through the heart. "Noooo!" Merlin yelled, his uncle turned to see him and grinned, Merlin understood why, if he killed him here, there wouldn't be a rightful heir to the throne. His uncle dashed towards him Merlin freezes in fear, "Prince Merlin" Lancelot yells as he grabs him and runs. Merlin finally gets out of his trance as he realizes some of his father's knights are fighting off Gavinus. "No, Lancelot let me go!!" He orders, " I'm afraid I can't do that young prince" he says as he catches up to queen Hunith and princess Eloise. He gets Merlin on his horse and ties him down in order for him to stay seated. They ride away as Merlin takes one last look at his home. He mentally hopes his knights get out, and promises that he'll come back for his people.
