Leo's POV
Paglabas ko ng kotse, nakita ko yung guard ng building na naglalakad na rin palapit.
"Nako sir, mukhang pumutok yung gulong niyo sa likod." AniyaMabilis kong chineck iyon. Indeed it did.
"It was my..."
Natigilan ako when I noticed her tears roll down her cheeks.
"Hey, what happened why are you crying? Did the explosion scare you?" I opened the car door to check on her.
She just shook her head and quickly wiped the tears from her cheeks.
"Are you sure?"
She nodded,
"What happened? What exploded?"
"It was my tires..."
"Oh no... What caused it?"
"Sheesh. That looks like a rough blow" kumento niya
I can see that. I am more worried about what will happen when my father finds out about this. I wouldn't be surprised if this was a deliberate attack. He sure has a lot of enemies.
"Ano gagawin?" Pffft...I almost laughed. Not because of her accent as she tried to speak in tagalog. But that confused look on her face as she looked at my exploded tires.
"Are you laughing at my tagalog accent?" she irritatedly said.
"No. Not at all. I just... Nevermind. I was not laughing at your tagalog accent. I know the feeling"
I've been there. Until now people sometimes make fun of me when I speak in tagalog and my English accent slips in. Nakakapagod mag explain. I can't help it, my profession makes me speak english often than tagalog.
"So what are you going to do now? The tires look like they're unsalvageable" sabi niya
"I guess I'll have to call the car shop, and have them take my car. I should probably have them inspect and investigate it."
I called the car shop that I got that car from. For sure they would know what to do. The man on the phone said they will send a tow truck to pick up my car. They immediately came, not even –5 minutes–And towed my car.
"Tawag na lang po kami if tapos na" the guy from the repairshop said. Tumango lang ako."It looks like the repair would take a long time. Sabog yung tires mo eh"
"I think so too." walang emosyong sagot ko
"Do you want to come over? While you wait?" Lianne offered. Umiling ako at kinuha muli ang phone ko sa bulsa.
"Hindi na. I'll just call home and papasundo na lang siguro ako" Sagot ko. I'll just call the house and ask someone to pick me up.
I was about to make another call, pero namatay ang phone ko– low battery.
"Damn it." mura ko sa sarili.
Narinig ko ang mahinang tawa ni Lianne na mukhang nakita ang nangyara sa cellphone ko."Halika na..." Before I can even react, mabilis niyang hinablot ang kamay ko at naglakad.
My brows furrowed as my gaze landed on our hands. My mind is confused on why it's sending a weird feeling that had just run through the back of my head. Pinilig ko ang ulo to rid of that thought. Baka shell shock lang to from the explosion.
