As time went by, so then the years for the girl who lived in the cozy cottage. She never left the woods she called home. The only life Haf knew of was the rustling leaves, the characters in her father's long-forgotten books, the sun showing, the moon hiding, and her little companion.

She did all sorts of time-spending. The hopes to find something worthwhile to do in her years of solitude kept her eyes away from her plant. "Oh, aren't you tired of being so small among the enormous trees around you? Show off to me once, will you?"

Haf did not deem her plant amusing and she had grown angry by it for it was taking so long to bloom. "I've done everything for you, have you not noticed, will you truly grow?"

In the absence of her plant's blooming was her longing for family that she had been waiting for,  and purpose.

"Treat it as your own, as yourself," Haf reminisced her mother's words.

After talking her emotions out to the plant, she showed it more effort by giving it more water, more than it needed.
