WARNING: Spoiler Alert!

I’m pretty certain that I’m a neutral fan of the most respected and viewed movies/books of all time, Harry Potter and Twilight Saga. I recently watched the last movie compilation of the Twilight Saga, Breaking Dawn Part 2 and I realized how I over estimated the power of Stephanie Meyer in my last story, Twilight or Harry Potter? [See for the story for the comparison].

I’m a bit emotional in terms of these kinds of series. I’ve come to know the story and be part of them, both in the books and movie. I hated myself for not watching the last part of Harry Potter on screen but then, I’m lucky to experience the thrill of Breaking Dawn Part 2. It’s surely the best of the series and so worth it nevertheless the reputation of the actors.

I have to congratulate Bill Condon (the director of Twilight Series) for making this such a precious one. It’s actually the first time I held my breath then clapped after a movie. The twist and the expected are beyond the world of the book.

Maybe you’re saying that I’m a Twilight fan here and I guess, yes I am. And so, this critique is done. But wait, let me just emphasize that Harry Potter has been a part of our lives for what, since the toddler years, probably then and so, it’s a children’s book, right? Twilight Saga has all the critics because it came or became famous in the late 2008 wherein we’re in the state of our freedom. And because Harry Potter is a part of our younger years, he’s our story, no less, no more. What I’m really saying here is that, they are different. Anyway.

I highly recommend Breaking Dawn Part 2. They really save the Best for the Last. No matter how gross the last three parts of the movie, you’ll come to experience what a real movie is. Erased all the doubts and all the mess because this is really the story of Twilight.

Let me just tell the highlighted part of the movie for me.

The first scenes were actually the Twilight movie we’ve came to know. You may critique it whether too numb or too normal, judge it for yourself. There were also humors that made us laugh and relax. The thrilling part was the battle against Vulturi.

The Vulturi was about to kill Alice for some reason (too long to tell but it’s about Renesme) then, as a fatherly response, Carlisle attacked Aro. They flew in the air and end up Aro holding the head of Carlisle. That set us to a tune. My friends were actually cursing through breath, and I, were speechless. There goes the battle were the next to die was Jasper and Seth of the pack. We nearly cried (just like the lost of many characters in Harry Potter). There goes Edward attacking Aro. Bella saw Edward, and of course, as a response, she helped Edward. Aro was about to twist Edward’s head when Bella got him in the rear then held his head. Edward kicked him hard that led Bella to force the pull on the head. Then Aro is gone. BUT, when they’re about to burn Aro, the still was zoomed out to the real situation: it was just Alice’s premonition. Fuck but fantastic! We relaxed. Seeing Carlisle dead was the last thing we want to watch.

Another thing was the last scene wherein Bella shared her thoughts to Edward for the first time. There came their love story with the glimpse of the three movies. What made me cry was the background music, actually: A thousand Years, part 2. The song was really a blast! After that, the movie went to its credits but a more creative one. Black and white scenes of the characters and actors for the last four years of the production. It brings back the memories of how Twilight has been a part of our lives.

I don’t care if you find this a waste of time or more likely a ‘nice Twilight fan’ post but I just love the last of it. The story left an impact to the audience in a most perfect way.
