Dont Leave Daddies

In which Zayn and Liam Malik are fathers a clingy little boy.

"Daniel, come on bud, you have to let go." Liam tried to explain to his little four-year-old as he held onto his leg.

"NO!"came the response.

"Come on Dan, let go. Daddy's gonna be late. Come on babe, Uncle Ni is coming over! Don't you want to hang out with him?" Liam told the boy, frowning at the way the toddler desperately clung to him.

"No! Take me with you Papa!" Little Daniel said, clinging tighter to his daddy's leg.

Liam sighed. He knew this always happened. Why did he expect something different this time? He doesn't know.

It has been a couple of months since Liam and Zayn Malik adopted the light of their life, Daniel. Daniel quickly adjusted to life at the Malik's and he grew more comfortable in his new home with the boys day by day.

The only problem was the fact that Daniel hated being left alone.

Whenever one of the boys step out of the room for a few minutes they'd come back to the sight of a shaking and sobbing little Daniel. Guilt would easily rise up inside the boys and they'd pick him up and hold him close until he fell asleep. Daniel had them wrapped around his finger.

Liam let out a sigh.

"ZAAAYYNN!! GET IN HERE!!" He called out.

He can hear Zayn rush to Daniel's room.

"What's wrong?" Zayn asked after realizing that his boys were safe.

"Zayn, if I don't leave right now, I'm going to the miss the meeting and you have an appointment to go to soon. Help me get Daniel ready for when Niall comes."

"Hey there buddy," Zayn whispered to Daniel as he crouched down to meet Dan's size. "Danny, bub, me and Daddy really have to go soon -"

"NO DON'T GO DADDIES!!" Daniel was on the verge of tears.

Zayn scooped him up into his arms,"Don't be upset Danny, me and Daddy have to do grown up stuff and we will be right back, okay? Uncle Ni is coming to play with you. You love Uncle Ni!" Zayn tried to rationalize with the child.

"Papa don't go! Don't leave me." Daniel started sobbing. How could daddy say no to him now? Dan thought.

Zayn sighed. He held his baby boy close as he called Liam over.

" Hey babe, you can go ahead to your meeting, I'll stay with Niall and Daniel." Zayn told his husband.

"Really Zayn?"

"Yeah really."

"Was it the crying?" Liam lifted a brow toward his partner.

Zayn let out a defeated laugh, "How'd you guess?"
"I don't know how he does it" Liam chuckled as he pecked Daniels cheek."It works every time." He kissed Zayn before departing.

Sure they don't always have the easiest time dealing with Daniel, but they love him anyways.
