Richard " Richie " Tozier is the comedian of the Losers Club . He often teases the other Losers , preferably Eddie Kaspbrak with dirty jokes and mutual banter . Alongside his best friends , he defeats IT despite his internal fear . Now , he wants to try and survive high school and try his hardest to ignore these feelings he's developing for one of his friends . He doesn't want to think about it , but he's still a little fearful boy who doesn't want to lose his friends . He's loud and tells jokes just to be noticed . He'll never dare admit that he cries himself to sleep every night , haunted by nightmares of IT . Richie was perfectly fine and didn't need help . . . right ?
