Chapter eight

~TIME SKIP A YEAR~

Hazel's pov

I wake up to Madelyn patting my face smiling.

"Mama wake up me 2" she says hold on up two fingers.

"Well good morning to you too babygirl and I know happy birthday" I say kissing her cheek.

I have her a bath and changed her into a cute little outfit. Then I tell her to go wake up uncle marcel while I showered and straighten my hair then changed. (Up top)

Then I call Madelyn to come change into her outfit.

"Okay I'm going out to get a few things for tonight so please take care of her" I say laughing at marcel.

Last time I left him with her. I came home to him with pink hair. Cause 'she wanted it pink'

I head out to the store to get the cake and other goodies for the party tonight. Then Brian calls me.

"Hey hun. What's up shouldn't you be on a plane right now?" I say

"Yeah about that. Sweetie I can't make it to her party  something came up." He says.

"You can't come to your daughter's birthday party?" I ask making sure I was hearing him right.

"I'm sorry please tell her I love her I have to go love you" he says and hangs up.

I just put my phone in my purse and continue to shop.

Brian's pov

I hate lying to her but I needed to. I'm already in la. I'm at minis right now and I plan on surprising her and my baby girl. I pull out the box from my suitcase. I examine the ring again. We have been dating for a year now and I know she's the one I want to spend my life with. I asked marcel for his approval. Of course he said yes. I can't wait for tonight.

Hazel's pov

I get everything I need and head home. Once I get home I set up the decorations and put the cake in a cold area. I play with Madelyn while marcel gets ready. It's now 5 so people should start arriving soon. Then I hear the doorbell ring. I go and open it up. It's Evan,his girlfriend maya (idk if he really had a girlfriend) David,Aliayah,Tyler,his girlfriend kelly, Scotty and his girlfriend Chrissy. I hug them all and they go over to greet Madelyn and set her presents down.

"Where is Brian?" David asks

"He said he couldn't come something came up" I say a little annoyed

"Oh okay" he says.

Then mini and his girlfriend sammi arrive. We all chat for a bit and eat.

"Okay guys it's time to sing happy birthday to this little munchkin" I say brining our the cake out.

We sing happy birthday and then let her open her gifts. She gets to the last gift from mini.

"Here sweetie this one is from your dad" mini says handing her a little box. I look at him confused.

She opens it and it's a little bracelet with a flower on it.

She looks super happy and I help her put in on. I smile at her and kiss her cheek.

"Wait wait wait there is one more surprise" David says running to the door.

I look at everyone confused and the just smile. I turn and play with Madelyn. Then something gets her attention.

"Dada" she says running past me. I turn around and see Brian behind me on one knee. My hands fly up to my mouth.

"Hazel. Since the day I met you. I knew you were the one. When I saw you with Madelyn I knew I wanted you to be the mother of my kids. We started off very fast but this past year has made me see that I don't want to wait. I want to spend the rest of my life with you and Madelyn. One day we can give Madelyn a baby brother or sister now that I got accepted to move to America and I love you and her. So what I'm saying is. Angle May Cunningham will you marry me?" He says opening the box revealing a beautiful diamond in the shape of a snowflake.

I just nod my hard and hug him. I'm crying into his shoulder as he slips on the ring. He kisses me and wipes my tears.

"It's a snowflake cause it was snowing when we found Madelyn" he says kissing Madelyns forehead.

I turn to everyone who had a big smile on their faces. I hold my hand up

"IM GETTING MARRIED" I say jumping up and down with the girls who came to see the ring.

"I'm so happy for you guys" marcel says giving me a hug.

"Mommy why are you crying" Madelyn says pointing to my face.

"It's happy tears baby" I say picking her up and kissing her cheeks.

"Well it's pretty late so we should get going" everyone says.

We say our goodbyes and wave as everyone leaves. Then I go upstairs changing into short shorts and one of Brian's shirts. I go and tuck Madelyn in for bed and go to my room. I jump on the bed and Brian comes in and kisses me.

"Maybe we should give Madelyn a sibling" he says smirking and kissing me again.
