Jason's POV
I walk up to my girlfriend with a bright smile on my face. I want to take her on a date tonight and spend some quality time together. Things have been pretty distant between us lately.

"Hey babe, you wanna go out tonight?" I ask her with a bright smile. She sighs and rolls her eyes. "No, I already have plans." She doesn't even look up from her phone. "Oh... okay, that's fine. Maybe some other night?" I ask. She sighs louder and puts her phone down angrily. "Could you stop being so damn clingy?" I'm taken aback by her harsh tone. "I-I'm sorry, I thought we'd just-" She cuts me off. "You're so dramatic! And you're always so draining!" She shouts at me and gets up to leave. "Just give me some space to breathe!" With that, she takes her purse, her keys, and her phone, then leaves. She slams the door behind her, and I'm left alone once again. This has been happening a lot lately. I ask to go out with her, and she lashes out. Maybe I'm the problem...

Your POV
I walk down the sidewalk, enjoying my day off. As I look at the little bakeries and shops scattered about, I think of Jason. I wander what he's doing now? Probably swapping spit with his girlfriend. The thought makes me shiver. As the thought leaves my mind, I look in the window of a coffee shop. Is that Jason's girlfriend? It can't be, yet it looks exactly like her. I look up at the menu beside the window and sneakily take a photo with my phone. As I walk away, I look at the picture closer. It is her! She's wearing sunglasses and she talking with some random guy. Poor Jason is going to flip when he sees this. Just as that thought crosses my brain, I get a call. It's from Jason.

Jason You
"Hello?" "Hey, (y/n), can you come over? Savannah and I had another fight..." "Of course! I'll be there in a few minutes, just sit tight."

This was becoming a regular occurrence. They fight, he calls me, I console him, and the cycle continues. Despite what most people think, Jason is a very emotional guy. When he cares for someone, he cares deeply and strongly. When he loves, he loves hard, and there's not much that can break that love.

I let myself into his house and see him on the couch, hugging a pillow and watching The Notebook. I swear he's seen it a hundred times. "Hey, big guy, how you doing?" I ask in a soft voice as I sit next to him. He simply shrugs his shoulders. I can see the tears in his eyes. I rub his back gently. "Hey, it'll be alright. I've always got your back. You know that, right?" He nodded and sniffled. Poor guy's a mess. I sigh. "I don't know how to fix this. Everyday is a new argument. Am I the problem?" He asks as he turns to me with those puffy, teary eyes. I shake my head. "No, of course you're not." He sighs. "I just don't know what to do anymore..." He looks down at his lap. "Well, the way I see it, you have two choices. Lose her, or lose yourself." I say bluntly. He looks at me with that sad puppy face and it nearly breaks my heart. "I don't want to lose her..." His voice is so very soft. "Jason... I think it's time we have a serious conversation about the obvious abuse that you're suffering." I say. He looks at me, shocked. "Abuse? I'm not being abused. I mean, yeah, she's hit me once, but-" "See? She's hurting you, Jason. That's abuse, whether you want to admit it or not." I interrupt him. He just looks back down without another word. I sigh and hug him tightly. "Jason... I think she's cheating on you." I say hesitantly. He looks up at me. "W-what?" He's in complete disbelief. "I saw her with another guy at the coffee shop earlier. She seemed... suspicious." As I say that, he doesn't bother to hold back the tears. I gently run my fingers through his hair and hum to him softly. He wraps his arms around my waist and nearly crawls into my lap. "It's okay, Jason. I've got you." I cooed. He hugs me tightly for a long while until he finally stops crying. He looks up at me. "What should I do?" He asks with a quivering voice. "I think you should leave her. Kick her out of your home and don't ever look back." I replied. He wiped his tears and nodded. "Yeah... maybe I should."
