Sitting in the small, dark room Albert knew he's nowhere going near the core of the recent murder mystery case. He was one of the best detectives of the city of Busan at the moment but in this case he couldn't find a single clue. His boss volunteered to get him some colleagues for help but Albert straight away denied it because he does not like anyone to interfere with his method of investigation.
A deep sigh escaped Albert's mouth as he hears his phone's ringtone echoing in the almost empty room. He stuffed his hands in the pocket and fished out his phone to answer the call.
~Hello?
~Yes
~Yes
~I understand
~Okay
It was time for him to leave as his friend called him to examine a newly found evidence. He stood up from his chair in hurry and rushed to the door wearing his long, brown trench coat.
"He seems to be stressed" said Suga with worry painted all over his face.
"I agree with you hyung, this case is tougher than the usual ones" said a high pitched male voice.
"I know Jimin, I hope we solves this case as soon as possible" said the older one. "Where is Hoseok btw?"
Jimin furrowed his brows in confusion and shifted slightly to get a better view of the room. "There he is, he's sleeping..should we?" Suga interrupeted him in the mid "that's fine, let him sleep. He looks tired anyway, he had to write a lot of reports today".
"But hyung, we won't be able to solve this case without Hoseok hyung"
"Okay then" a deep sigh escaped Suga's mouth as he spoke in defeat "bring him back to his senses".
Jimin threw a office pin at Hoseok to wake him up. As the pin touches Hoseok he imediately opens his eyes and whimpers in pain. "Ouch Jimin! that hurts" He spoke.
"I am sorry hyung, I had to do it, it's important for you to be there while we discuss this case" he says in his defence.
"Alright" says the said man meanwhile massaging his head to lessen the pain.
"Guys let's share whatever we know related to this case, more detailed more better" said Suga in authorative voice.
"I'll start" Jimin took the lead "I captured a lot of pictures today of the mutilated corpse, the body was strangled to death and later was disfigured intentionally. I bet he's another psychopath".
"I agree with you, I had to write a lot of reports about it today and I think there is something fishy going on. Investigators found that there were no more than three bottles of wine in the living room shelf but if we consider the statements of neighbours they say the dead person was a huge collector of alchohol. Marks of the dust shows that there must be around 10 to 12 bottles of wine, so where are the rest 9 bottles?" says Hoseok rubbing his back of the neck as a thoughtful expression.
Joining the discussion Suga spoke "Now that I think about it, you have got a point, they are letting this thing slide because they want to focus on the big picture of the case, but the little details are the things that leads us to the culprit".
"I found something more, he had OCD" announced Hoseok.
"What does that mean?" asked the youngest.
"It means he must have been of a kind who was obsessed over keeping things right at their places, but how does it support our case?" Suga asked in confusion.
"I think it does support our story hyung, when I was on the site of investigation I clicked pictures of that shelf too. Front portion of both of the two bottles were facing the glass door however the third bottle was kept facing the inside of the shelf. I think there must be someone beside the victim who kept that bottle over there".
"Yeah, you are right and the fact that the victim used to live alone is making the third bottle suspicious."
"I wonder how did they missed such an important detail." Suga said in disbelief.
The conversation of the trio was disrupted in the middle by the creaking and slamming noise of the door. Albert was back. The dark room was now filled with the newborn rays of the sun. It was dawn and the sun was about to rise at any moment.
Albert walked towards the office table with small paced steps keeping his eyes focused at the shiny metallic blue thing which he left by mistake.
"So here you are" said Albert grabbing his favorite pen "I almost believed that I lost it again" he tugged the pen back to his shirt pocket.
He turned back to the only exit and entrance door from where he had just arrived and left in hurry.
"Damn!" Jimin said in agitation "Albert took Hoseok hyung away".
"It's okay Jimin-ah, Hoseok is Albert's favorite pen after all, he used it to write many reports and casefiles" Suga spoke in a tender and comforting voice.
"I have to admit that, sometimes, I envy Hoseok hyung for the attention he get, I hope someone could give me a attention like that. They always mistreat me and place me wherever they like, dust particles started collecting on my surface hyung" Jimin whined stating the facts.
"It's okay Jimin, they'll clean your lenses and body when they'll need you, a camera is there to capture pictures, not to complaint"
"I got it hyung, you make me feel at ease, I am glad they didn't threw you away when you got a crack"
"I know right, I was scared too" Suga chuckled at the mention of the most dangerous time of his life.
"Life of a porcealin coffee mug must be tough, specially, it must have hurt when you got this crack isn't it?" Jimin said pointing at the cracked mouth of the white porcelain cup.
"It was hurtful, anyways go back and rest. We need to discuss it again when Hoseok comes back"
"It's tonight isn't it?" asked Jimin.
"Yeah, he'll be back tonight" says Suga and closes his eyes in peace. Jimin follows the suit and the room falls back to lifelessness.
