part 2: dinner

My heart skips a beat

it's the girl from the beach

"oh, she's back, this is sienna, my daughter, she's 15" my dad says.

"this is my girlfriend and her daughter"

i stand there in shock.

"hi sienna, i'm brianna, it's nice to finally meet you, i've heard so many great things about you, this is my daughter, hally, she's 16, i think you two will get along well"

she greets me with a big welcoming smile.

i see where halia gets her cute smile from.

"hi, um dad, you didn't tell me we were having guests over for dinner" i say walking closer to everyone.

"oh, yea, i was gonna tell you before you stormed out"

i sigh

"i'm sorry, i shouldn't have, that was immature" i apologize

"i'm going to quickly go get changed" i say walking up the stairs.

i get up stairs and reach into my cupboard for a black cropped tank top, and grey sweatpants, i get dressed and throw on a hoodie.

*knock knock*

i hear on my bedroom door

"come in!" i call.

"hey, um sienna, you okay from earlier?" she asks.

i nod my head "oh yea, no worries i'm fine now, thanks, again"

she walks over and sits next to me on my bed.

"nice bedroom" she says mocking my lack of decoration.

i giggle "yea, we just moved in today, i haven't gotten a chance to go shopping yet" i say as i stand up.

"maybe sometime we can go together?" she asks.

my heart fills with joy

"oh, uh, yea, sure, maybe this weekend" she nods.

we walk downstairs as i smell the mince my dad is cooking and we sit at the island.

"i love tacos" hally says.

"it's my favourite" i say.

we are all chatting at the island and the food is finally ready.

we all sit at the undecorated dining table and eat our tacos.

we finish eating and brianna and hally head home. dad and i head upstairs to watch tv

we go to bed.
