alex walked past a girl who looked incredibly familiar, and noticed it was sammy. she looked at him and then turned to walk in to the coffee shop they were next to, not sparing him a second look.
alex pulled his hood up and walked in behind her. he stepped behind her in the queue. she ordered two lattes to eat in and stepped up to the receiving counter.
alex ordered what he always got; two iced coffees, two chai lattes and four chocolate chip muffins to go. he walked up to the receiving counter and stood behind sammy.
she turned around to face him. her eyes studied him for a second and then looked away. her name was called and she got her coffees and went to sit at a table with the girl who was her best friend all through high school - jessica.
jessica looked over at alex and did a double take in recognition then offered him a small wave. he smiled slightly, grabbed his coffees and left.
