Rosalina's POV

I woke up to the sound of my phone constantly ringing it was 8 am. I tried to ignore it but it didn't stop, I flung the blanket off of me and answered my phone. "Hola soy Oficial Marco, ¿Eres Rosalina?" he asked by the tone of his voice I started to get worried "Si lo soy" he then started speaking in English "Sweetheart I'm very sorry to tell you this news over the phone but your home caught fire earlier this morning" I gasped covering my mouth, "and unfortunately your parents were in the house at the moment and well I'm sorry to tell you that your parents had passed away in the fire". I felt like his voice was getting louder the more he spoken and tried to explain the situation. "your home was completely burned to the ground, and is unfortunately no longer standing, the exact cause of the fire is currently unknown." he said his voice seeming like he'd become more confident talking to me.

"Gracias señor," I said fast and hung up.

I starting crying loudly and Jessica woke up, "¡¿Qué?!" she screamed trying to calm me down "Rose calm down, talk to me tell me what happened?"

I starting crying loudly and Jessica woke up, "¡¿Qué?!" she screamed trying to calm me down "Rose calm down, talk to me tell me what happened?". My voice was cracking as I spoke to her I couldn't talk and I could hardly move. "My parents." I hiccuped "shhh slowly take your time". She calmly said It took me so long to get ahold of myself but I spoke to her and told her all that the police officer told me.

"Where am I going to live?" "what am I going to do with myself, Jess?" with my home being burned down I have nowhere to stay no home anything at all. "You can stay here, for now." "yeah, Jessica and your parents? They hate having someone in their home, Dio they barely take care of you." I said honestly. " it's okay it's fine we can think of this."

Then it hit me like a punch in the gut, I don't have my parents, I'm all alone I have nobody to tell me to come home early or be safe, I can't believe this I don't want things to be this way, its too soon not now I can't live like this. I started sobbing again and Jessica hugged me tightly as I cried on her shoulder.

Liam's POV

The following day

"Sir here's the file on the girl you asked about," Diego said quietly as he put the file on my desk, "Gracias Diego, you can go now," I said as I nodded my head at him.

'Here we go'

What was written in the file:

(Rosalina Angel Jane Garcia)
Age: 18 Years old - DOB: February 14th, 2002
Hair color: Dark Brown
Eye color: Light Brown
Height: 5'3
current status: Orphan
Parents: Passed away in fire On 12th of January 2020 at 7:30 am, Cause of Fire unknown.
Relationship status: Single
Past relationships: At the age of 16 Rosalina had a boyfriend, but the relationship lasted for only 2 months.

Once I read what was written about her parents I was shocked, only last week I was being told about how her father tried to protect her with all his power and now she's parentless she must be going through a lot, the girl has no home to live in anymore Dio knows where she must be.

With all this thinking I started to get more and more worried, I quickly grabbed my phone to call Mateo. "Mateo." "what Liam no hello?" "Ugh. Hi, Mateo, I want you to go to the street Rosalina lives on and look for her!" "What! No, you, idiot, I'm not a freak like you!" "I swear Mateo this isn't the right time, just do what I told you to do please." I heard him sigh into the phone then he said "Fine, but what do I do when I see her?" "I don't know just look for her first." I said then hung up the phone.

She's too young, she's too innocent, naive and delicate I'd kill anyone who'd hurt her, the fact that she could be out there alone on the dangerous streets is killing me, I guess I now know how her father felt like when she was out late at night.

I'm sure this is the only thing I'll be thinking about for the rest of the night, which is probably gonna ruin my mood for tomorrow

I'm sure this is the only thing I'll be thinking about for the rest of the night, which is probably gonna ruin my mood for tomorrow. But I do have one important question on my mind, how on earth did that house catch on fire and why is it unknown, I'm going to find out, this doesn't seem like an accident to me.

Do you think what happened was an accident?

How do you think Rosalina's going to adapt to life without her parents?

And do you love Liam as much as I do? ♥️
