"Yeh yeh, I'm home!"Marinette Cheng had just returned home from working at her grandfather's company, Cheng Custom. Where she was head designer and a model for her works.
Marinette had lost her mother at birth, and father not four days later in a car crash. Originally, her mother's side of the family was from Shanghai, China. Even though Marinette was born in Paris, France she grew up in China with her grandfather, or as she liked to call him, yeh yeh.
Quon Cheng was Marinette's grandfather and only family. His daughter died from complications giving birth. Marinette was all he had left of her and he wanted the best for her. He himself had inherited the company Cheng Custom from his father, he had intended for Sabine to take over the company when he retired, but since that was no longer an option he was going to give it to Marinette.
"Marinette! Living room!" he called out.
Marinette was quick to put her sketchbook away and meet her grandfather.
"Hey, what would you like for dinner?" she lovingly asked.
"Before that, there is a meeting with a real estate agent in three days that we need to get ready for." he smiled, getting up from his favourite black rocker, heading towards the kitchen.
Marinette eagerly followed. "It's three days away yeh yeh, I think we have time," Marinette giggled while picking up her phone. "takeout?" she asked, putting the phone up to her ear, getting ready to order their usual.
"Takeout is fine. You didn't let me finish. The meeting is in Paris. And our flight leaves in two days." he spoke, grabbing a cup, and filling it to the brim with orange juice. As he did every day when Marinette came home.
"Paris? Why Paris? Are you expanding the company?" she questioned, putting the phone down and getting ready to pick up their order.
"I guess you could put it that way." he finished, before downing the whole glass of OJ.

"Adrien! you're going to be late!" Emilie yelled.
"I'm coming! I'm coming!" he squawked, stumbling through the hallway of their Parisian home, quickly pulling his shirt on.
"Are you ready?" Emilie questioned as her son stumbled down the stairs racing to get to his photo shoot.
"Yep yep yep. I'm ready." he chuckled walking out the door.
"Sometimes I swear you're 13 again and not 19." she laughed as she hopped in the car on the way to the studio.
At the young age of six Adrien's father mysteriously went missing, rendering him fatherless. his mother was forced to take the job of CEO of the family company, Agreste Image & Design. After taking the position of CEO, Adrien could tell that his mother was drained. He made a promise to himself to be the best son he could to bring her stress levels down. He'd do whatever she asked, with minimal questions asked.
Since he made that promise he never complained. Even when she wanted him to take Chinese, fencing, and learn to take over the company when he got older.
"Oh Adrien, I forgot to tell you, we have a meeting with a real estate agent 3 days from now. I don't want you to forget, ask Natalie to put it on your schedule," she spoke, getting out of the car that had arrived at the studio.
"Okay. May I ask why? Are we expanding the company?" Adrien said, a confused look over his face.
"I guess you could put it that way." she said as they entered the building.
