Before we begin I would like to say that this is the first fanfiction I've written about 5SOS and on here as well. Hopefully you all like the chapter and I have a reason to continue. I'd like to thank a friend of mine for helping me come up with the title. The title itself inspired the whole story and everything is planned out already, so hopefully I won't stop writing.
So, I hope you enjoy this Mashton fanfiction! Give me some feedback, I'd love to hear from you all.
One more thing, there will be some Cake in this fanfiction (CalumXLuke) so yeah! I couldn't help myself.

"Blue hair this time, huh?" Ashton said as Michael came up to the table where his bandmates sat at to eat lunch.
"Yeah, why?"
"Oh no reason, but don't you think it matches Luke's eyes?" Ashton asked as he playfully pinched Luke's cheek. Luke waved him off and spoke.
"His hair doesn't match my eyes!..."
Luke looked at Michael's hair and then turned to Calum, continuing his sentence.
"Does it?"
Calum looked at Luke's eyes, then at Michael's hair and then back at Luke's eyes.
"They do match."
Luke groaned as he played with his food and ignored the laughter that arose from his bandmates.〜☂〜
Michael was the lead guitarist of the band but he was, somewhat, silent and maybe that was the reason he attracted so many girls. Everyday he would catch girls looking at him, or they would randomly talk to him and at times they would even confess their love to him. He was flattered of course but all he did was smile and politely turn them down. It had been going on since the beginning of the year when the band first began rehearsing. Ever since then, Michael was a bit confused about himself; sexuality wise. But wasn't every teenager in high school that way? Or was it just him?
Whenever Michael thought about that, he felt lost. He felt like he couldn't go to anybody about it, there was practically no one to turn to.
Not his bandmates because he didn't want them to feel uncomfortable around him.
Not his other friends around school because he didn't trust them enough.
Not his father.
And definitely not his mum.〜☂〜
"Hey Mikey, you comin' to Luke's to spend the night?" Calum asked as the four of them got off the bus and stood in a circle.
Ashton chimed in.
"And to rehearse as well."
"And that too." Calum said with a small smile.
"Yeah of course I just need to do some stuff at home before I go."
They all sighed in unison and waved at Michael as they walked off together towards Luke's place. After a few minutes of walking Michael arrived at his house, looking around to see no trace of his father there. He sighed and shook his head as he walked up to his room to clean up a bit. In there was nothing but CD's from his favorite bands, some posters here and there, "To The Moon" painted on the wall, and a few vinyl's that he paid for himself as well. But there was another thing that meant a lot to him as well, a stuffed lion named Daniel that was given to him when he was 1 ( or so he was told ). He cherished it because it was the only thing he had left from his mother, the one thing that told him that she was there at one point and time in his life.
His room wasn't a complete mess but he did want to do something before he left for Luke's for the day.
Once he was done, he began making his way downstairs with a guitar case in hand and a bag to hold his clothes and other things for the night. Then his father walked through the door.
"Hey, dad.-"
"Michael, come here."
Michael furrowed his eyebrows as he obeyed and walked towards his father.
"Michael, you... You remember that time when your mum died?! Be... Because I do!" He said with slurred words as he exploded into laughter, coughing every now and then.
Michael could tell he was drunk, he reeked of alcohol and he couldn't bear the stench.
"That wasn't my mum, now get a glass of water and drink that instead of beer."
Michael walked towards the door, keeping his head down when he felt his fathers hand wrap around his wrist and he violently pulled him back.
"How can you say that wasn't your mum?!"
"Because it wasn't! It was your second wife, you think I'm stupid?!"
"Yeah, I do!"
Michael's eyes widened as he looked at the disgusted look in his father's eyes and he was pushed into the door before he could say another word. He could already feel a bruise beginning to form on his left wrist as he tried to get out of his father's grip.
"Go! Get out of here!" His father shouted as he let go of the other and walked away.
Michael adjusted the bag he was carrying and quickly walked out of the house. He ran a hand through his hair and shut his eyes in thought. His father had been drinking ever since his second wife died a few months ago, but he had never laid a hand on him until then.
After a while, he just shook his head and ignored it, making his way towards Luke's to have fun and forget everything else.〜☂〜
"Alright boys, now that Michael is finally here we can get started!" Ashton said as they made their way into the garage.
Luke, Michael, and Calum began tuning their instruments as Ashton sat down with his drum kit and waited patiently.
As Michael reached his left hand to tune his guitar his sleeve pulled up, revealing the light purple bruise that was given to him earlier around his wrist. Ashton quickly noticed, and his eyes widened just a bit as he looked at Michael and spoke.
"Michael."
Michael turned to look at Ashton and raised his eyebrows as if to say "what?". Ashton just mouthed the words "are you okay?" so he didn't draw the others attention. Michael furrowed his eyebrows in confusion, not realizing what he was referring to. Then his eyes widened a bit in realization as he looked down at his wrist, noticing the bruise. He quickly pulled down his sleeve and nodded.
"All good."
Michael turned away and Ashton continued to look at him. Of course Ashton didn't believe that Michael was okay, he wanted to know what was wrong with his friend and he was going to help him out.〜☂〜
After rehearsal, eating pizza, and playing video games they all fell asleep soundly either on the couch or on the floor to end a somewhat productive day.
The next morning, Michael was the first to wake up, panting heavily as he sat up quickly. He ran a hand through his hair as he looked around, luckily everyone else was sleeping. He rubbed his eyes, recalling the dream he had and began tearing up a bit.
"It's just a dream..."
He said in a quiet voice as he tried to calm himself down, he covered his face to hide the tears that came down and brought his legs close to his chest.
"It's just a dream..."〜☂〜
