Today. I have never experienced more anxiety leading up to ones concert, this is the make or break. I would never classify myself as a hardcore, dye hard fan but after countless hours of learning each lyric to each song. I think I am ready to conquer my first One Direction concert. 5:00pm, a knock on the door bell, I hear footsteps and giggling approach my bedroom door, it's Abby and Yasmin. "Okay, Stef what is the opening line of Little Things?" Abby questioned me. Yasmin gave me a reassuring look, they loved constantly quizzing me, but i knew this one.

Abby and Yasmin were classified as Fangirls, they were some of the most obsessive One Direction fans you will come ever across. As well as both being opionianted and excessive, they were both people I eagerly wanted to be friends with. "Her hand fits in mine like it's made just for me." Finally all those hours of research and memorising has paid off, "you're so close to making it in to the group, after this concert I'm positive that you will be one of us," Abby declared.

After countless amounts of changing clothes the room was filled with many emotions and we were all relieved to hear my mum announce that it was time to head off to the stadium. Hundreds maybe even thousands of girls I encountered, all crying hysterically and some even hyperventilating, even Abby and Yasmin. Needless to say I felt a pain of guilt for not feeling similar emotions or reactions towards being in an enclosed area with One Direction.

Our seats were extremely average, I was told to be more optimistic and positive by Yasmin, but I didn't understand the point of being at a concert where the performers represented ants. I looked to the side and felt abit ansy as Yasmin and Abby happened to be whispering, looking very suspicious. "We will tell her after the concert, we cannot ruin this opportunity for ourselves." What were they talking about? Do they not like what they see? Do I smell bad? All these questions were taking over my inner most thoughts. I seemed to be very out of it, thinking of ways I could cheer them up. That's when it hit me, they obviously were as disappointed with these seats as I was.

The perimeter of the stadium was covered in black silk like curtains, the chants were getting louder, but if I made a quick getaway I could possibly find us all seats closer to the boys. "I have to go to the bathroom, I will be back in 5 minutes," of course Yasmin and Abby both manage not to acknowledge my presence. Walking for what seemed like ages, circling the stadium, not one spare seat in sight. The countdown began 10, 9, 8... Where was I going to sit, I had no idea in the world where Yasmin and Abby were sitting, I could call them, searching for my phone in my purse I pulled it out and right before I began dialling I realised I had no idea either of their numbers. 3, 2, 1....

The audience erupted in screams, I was shaking, never in my life have I experienced such a sound like the one that I just heard. I didn't understand this world, these people dedicating their life to just a band. Somehow I made my way to what I believed resembled the seating area I was originally designated to. At this point I had accepted the fact that Yasmin and Abby were going to want nothing to do with me after this, apart of me always wondered why they were hanging out with such a low life like me.

I always thought it was more than a coincidence when they decided to befriend me right after my dad, who happens to be in the music industry already purchased me 3 One Direction tickets. Sums up how well my dad knows me, getting me tickets to a band I don't even enjoy listening to for my college graduation present.

My head was ringing my
body was aching all I could think about was, is this really worth pretending to be interested in all this garbage just to have said I made 2 lousy friends at college. Agh before I could find my seat my phone vibrated in my jean pocket.

Missed Call.

Hi Gigi, it's Yasmin. Donno where you went but me and Abby managed to find 3 spare seats RIGHT NEXT TO THE STAGE!! so I'd hurry up and get here or...

My first thought was not how close they could actually be to One direction or how they even found seats, or even why she didn't finish her sentence, but how Yasmin managed to get my number.
