Eddie didn't react. He froze confused, while Grant's heart was heavier second after second and Mark was starting to get nervous.
«Eddie...»
Grant got closer to him, gently grabbing his waist with his arms.
«I love you»
Mark sighed, stepping away from the two.
«what is happening? Grant?»
Eddie couldn't believe any words that he heard since he walked in that house, so he angrily raising his voice.
«what the fuck? do you mind being fucking honest with me once? be straightforward goddamnit»
Grant couldn't bear it, sighing leaning his head on Eddie's shoulder.
«Mark is a friend of mine who saw how sad I was when you didn't tell me how you feel about me, so he tried to help me making you jealous but I can't do it. I love you too much for this»
Eddie stayed silent for a minute, hugging Grant the minute after with a sigh.
«you're an ass Grant»
«but you are too»
«fuck you dawg»
Eddie smiled leaning a kiss on his forehead, and Grant didn't think about how Eddie didn't tell him how he felt again too busy feeling extremely happy for this clinginess.
Mark slowly exited the house, leaving the two alone with each other cuddling on the couch.

They didn't talk, they didn't have to.
They just looked at each other's eyes smiling, cuddling just like a happy couple.
But Eddie was still scared.
Eddie avoided telling Grant how he felt, he feared that he would have left him if he asked to keep their relationship secret. Eddie knew too well that Grant wouldn't want to keep his boyfriend secret, and that scared Eddie to the point to fake a smile.

Eddie slept with Grant that night one in the other's arms peacefully and sweetly, without any bad dreams nor worries.
But everything must come to an end and so did that peaceful night.
Grant woke up first, kissing Eddie's cheek until he opened his eyes sleepily.
