Chapter 3:Tyler

POPE POV:
I head to the town library. I have some times off
between seeing Kie and work. I have this project about the OBX and I have to do some digging about the history of this place. I walk in wondering where to start.

"Hey Carol" I say walking over to the librarian " where would you suggest I look if I want to find out stuff about town history?" She glances up from her paper and sighs.

"Look Pope your the only kid who comes in on summer holiday to do projects. Are you sure you don't want to leave ?" I shake my head determined to finish this today. She gets up sighing and starts to walk so I follow her. She takes me to a far corner of the library where everything seems to have a layer of dust.

"Here is the history books about obx and the history records are kept over there." She points a stubby finger at the old filling cabinet. She shuffled off and I get to work. I pull out a bunch of books around the time I need and begin reading. After about a hour I have found nothing and just as I am returning the last book to the shelf. I notice a particularly old book. I pull it out and plop it down on the desk. It's a book of family trees dating back to the Tanny guy's time. There is a tree for all of the oldest families even the Cameron's have one. I take pictures of some of the most interesting ones and then out it back and walk out.

As I walk out I bump into someone. I look up and it's a guy. He is tall, muscular and has curly brown hair that falls lightly over his face. He has bright green eyes that have a emerald hue.

"Yo man watch where you goin." He smirks at me trying to sound miffed but his voice gives him away. I back into the door way.

"Sorry dude I wasn't liking where I was going."I laugh nervously. He is a bit taller then me but not by much.

"I am Tyler." He puts out a hand and I shake it. I don't think I know that name which means he must be either of two thing.

"I am Pope. I haven't seen you around where you from?" I ask trying to figure more about him.

"Oh I just moved here. I haven't really met many people but from what I grasp I live on what's known as um... figure 8." He looks at me almost to grasp whether that's bad or not. "I will be going to public school here in a few weeks. My parents don't think it's right just cause we are rich or somethin that I should go to private school." I laugh Kie would like his parents philosophy.

"Cool well I live on the other side of the island called the cut. My dad runs Hayward's. I go to the public school maybe I'll see you around." I start to walk past him.

"Hey wait until so I know I met you like 5 minutes ago but could I get your number cause your the first person my age who I have met here." I spin around and walk back towards him.

"Sure" I hand him my phone to put his number in."message me if you ever are free and want to hang out with a local. " I might as well take the opportunity to make friends with a kook before he realizes he is a kook and looks hate people like me.

JJ POV:
It's driving me crazy ignoring Kie and Pope but I can't be around them. They are better off without me. I killed John B and Sarah. Kie would tell me I am wrong but it was my dad's boat and I told John B to do it. My dad is making me work for the money I lost him and restitution. I am trying to sell the Cat's ass for the money for restitution. Kie would try making me feel better and help me with the money. I can't allow her to do that and I know if I saw her she wouldn't allow me to refuse. I also for some reason can't get past Kie choosing Pope. I mean sure I shot many shots but they were always shot down with the simple rule No Pogue on Pogue macking. I mean where was that rule on the dock with Pope. Why am I even angry it's not like we would have even had a chance.

Hope y'all are enjoying the book. I think it's going bette then my first attempt cause I am setting up the plot earlier. Would y'all be interested in chapter seeing what's up with John B and Sarah?
