Day 7: Choices

I woke wrapped up in Tai's arms. His thick leg draped over mine. He held my body against his. The only way we could be any closer was if he was inside me. Again. To be honest, I wouldn't say 'no'. I couldn't get enough of him.

I studied his face as he slept. Song lyrics popped into my head:

A chill caught my skin and I noticed our duvet was gone. I looked around to see that it was folded up on the floor. I pulled myself from Tai's arms to retrieve it. He stirred, and looked at me bleary eyed.

"Come back," he mumbled sleepily, reaching for me.

"Just a sec, babe. I'm cold. Our duvet is on the floor for some reason."

I draped it over us and melted back into his arms.

"Seeing your face first thing in the morning," he said, "Nothing beats it. How are you feeling about all this?"

"Couldn't be better," I sighed happily.

"I need to get serious for a minute..."

My heart went into panic mode.

"....Olivia, we got really hot and heavy, like, right away. And I'm not complaining because sex with you is unimaginable. But I need you to know, even though we haven't known each other long, I really care about you. This is beyond sex for me. I know your heart is delicate. I need you to know that I promise to always handle it with care."

I pulled him into my arms and fought back as my eyes welled up. The song was right. I was a goner. I'd never believed in love at first sight before. But Tai made me think I might be wrong.

"Stay here, sweet girl, I'll go make you a cuppa".

He stood and leaned down, brushing my lips with his sweetly.

Oh my god this man...

I stretched and smiled to myself. Miki noticed.

"Someone's happy," she whispered while sitting up.

I felt my cheeks flush. Luckily she was the only other person awake in the bedroom.

"I'm cautiously optimistic," I said trying to play it down.

"Oh so that wasn't the two of you I heard last night?" she smirked at me.

"MIKI!"

She laughed, "Don't worry. I won't say anything to Iona, though I'm sure she heard as well. Also, no judgments. He's mega fit. I probably wouldn't have waited either!"

Little did she know last night was not the first time.

Tai returned with my tea. I sat up as he handed it to me, handle first. He sat in bed next to me and stroked my hair out of my face as I took my first sip.

"This is perfect," I smiled up at him.

"Not to be weird," he said, "but I made note of how you take it when I was watching back home".

On the outside, yeah, that would have been weird, but it was just the way things worked in here. Obviously you're going to make mental notes of things that your crush likes and doesn't like if you know you're coming in.
