"She's so rude. She doesn't talk to me. At all." I let out an exasperated sigh. "I mean, is it really that hard to hold a conversation?"
After my countless feeble attempts to initiate a conversation with ice queen, I eventually gave up. What's the point of my efforts if it's unrequited?
"Give her a break. You never know why she's not speaking." Jisoo reminded me, and deep down, I knew she was right. Even so, I couldn't help but feel indignation. She spoke to others, but not me. I just assumed she hated me. What other explanation could there be?
Days passed. The most reaction I've ever gotten from her was a simple nod. What was her issue with me? We barely know each other. She was the one that asked to sit with me. She is now also the one that refuses to speak to me.
Once again, I ranted, unrelentingly. I refused to accept this. Without realising how loud I was, I spewed acidulous words about her, throwing around profanities for effect. All I needed was a nudge to stop me in my tracks.
Ice queen. She wore her classic blank expression, her big, brown eyes staring straight into mine. There was a hint of human emotions detectable in her eyes. Although debatable, they seemed warm. Friendly. Welcoming. Under the faint lighting of the hallways, they even sparkled. Her eyes were a beautiful hazel brown, occasionally honey when the sunlight hit the room.
She just walked off. Without saying anything. Without any expression. For a second, I could've sworn that she almost looked... upset. How could she be upset at what I said? I was only speaking the truth.
Does it even matter to her? She hates me.
