Maybe Next Time

Prologue

In Greece, after the Romans attacked, three brothers decided to rebuild their country. Unfortunately, these brother did not agree on how the country should be run, so they divided up the territory. Zeus, the eldest, claimed the most land then Poseidon marked most of the coast as his territory, leaving Hades a small portion of the land as his own. The brothers began to rebuild their kingdoms rapidly. Many people joined them, and soon, the country was thriving.

The brothers-- now kings-- each found a beautiful wife and had children. Zeus had a daughter named Thalia, Poseidon's wife bore a son he named Perseus, and Hades was blessed with two children, a boy and a girl named Nico and Bianca.

Around the time that all the children, excluding Nico, were about sixteen, the brothers realized they were growing old. They wanted to continue to see their country thrive and were scared of what would happen after they were gone. So, each one sent their offspring out to find the Fountain of Youth and bring back the stone in the center that gave the Fountain its powers.

It wasn't long before the royal children developed a reputation. Perseus-- or Percy as he prefered-- came to be known as The Sea Prince because of his talents when it came to navigating the seas. Thalia was called Pinecone Princess because of her ability to turn something as harmless as a pinecone into a weapon. Rumor has it that the power of her pinecones will leave its victims looking as though lightning had struck them. And finally, Bianca: The Hunter. She claimed this title through her ability to find anyone she wants to, whether they want to be found or not. She's so good at it, in fact, rumors say she is the apprentice of a high level assassin.

So the three children went on their way, searching for the Fountain of Youth. For a year, they scoured the earth in different places, Percy on the sea searching for unmapped islands, Thalia in the mountains searching through caves and exploring unmarked territories, and Bianca would go out, gather research and return to her kingdom only to lock herself in her room to think before going out again. And this is how it went for a little over a year...

...until Percy found a lead.
