My brown hair covers my eyes under the helmet.

I am forced to my knees in front of three thrones. The king and Queen watched me as their daughter fiddled with her curly red hair.

"Remove his helmet." The Queen ordered in a commanding voice.

They tried to but I snarled at them.

"Don't. Even. Think. About. It. You don't deserve to touch his scales when you shot us out of the sky." My voice echoes inside the mask.

They step away. The king motions for them to untie my hands. They oblige without question. It pull the ebony black mask of and stare up at the leaders of Dunbroch. I run my fingers through my hair.

The princess nearly falls off her throne. I've never met her before but I have met her parents.

"Chief... Hiccup?" The Queen Asked.

I nod and bow. When I stand the King is glaring at his guards.

"What did I say about letting a black dragon land without shooting it!" He exclaimed.

"Not to shoot it out of the sky..." one of the med murmured.

The queen sighed and several guards unchained Toothless. He leapt up the my side.

The princess is watching me and I'm slightly unnerved by it...

"Why are you here?" Queen Elinor asked me.

And so I tell them my tale.

King Fergus is gaping at me by the end.

"Well, That is slightly depressing. Yes, we shall help." He replies.

I thank him when the princess suddenly gasps.

"You're Hiccup! Never thought you'd get that tall." She exclaims.

That's when I remember and sigh.

I was ten years old and me and my father were here to create a peace treaty between our kingdoms.

The red-haired princess had bullied me for being weak.

"One day I'm going to become big and strong and have a dragon. I'm gonna come here and show you how wrong you were!" Young me yells.

She laughs and punches me.

"Ha! Dragons are evil you idiot." She yells, smirking meanly. I turn and run off into the woods. I got lost because of her. I remember running, tears streaming down my cheeks.

I return to the present. I glare at her. The reality in my mind had come true and now I was back, with a dragon.

Toothless notices my discomfort And nuzzled my arm.

"We will send our daughter. She will lead you to Corona where they will also help." The king says with decision.

I nod but are not happy about going with Merida.

She's eyeing toothless, remembering her teasing me. Don't ask how I know, just do.

I climb put my mask back on and climb onto Toothlesses back. She worriedly climbed on after me.

We take off Andy fly for hours in silence. This leaves me with lots of time to think.

I dive into memories as Toothless guides us.

I was here with Astrid, our dragons in the woods.

We were are fifteen, a year before my dad died. We had left dragons edge and were staying here, under the king a queen protection.

We walked side by side when an arrow shot through the air.

Astrid ripped her axe out of her belt, then a red haired girl appeared.

"Well well Well. It's tiny Hiccup. Needs a girl to protect him." She teased. I recognised her as Merida.

I buried my face in my hands. Astrid nudged me, obviously trying to remind me that I'd been through worse.

I look up and looked Merida straight in the eyes, before turning and walking away. My fingers fiddle with the dragon blade in my pocket. Astrid follows and puts her arm around my shoulder.

I really miss her. I see the islands outline in the distance. I sigh and direct toothless to land.

Her leaps down through the air, wings folder tightly by his sides. Right before he lands his wings spread outwards and we thud to land.

My green eyes glow as Zephyr sprints over. I lift her up, hugging her to my chest. Heather smiles.

Valka, my mother, walks over. She is watching Merida. "I remember you. Heir to Dunbroch. Bullied Hiccup." She mutters. Her braided hair blows around in the wind.
