"You look beautiful, Leera."

"You sure, grandma?"

I used an old curling iron of ours for the first time and I'm still not sure if I really did it right...

"Aaw my baby Leera is all grown up!"

She squeezes both of my cheeks before tugging and pulling on them.

"Ah grandma! Okaaaay!"

*ding dong*

I ended up actually telling Namjoon where I live...

I don't want the whole school to know I'm not rich like the rest of them, but Namjoon works at the same place I do. He's not a judgmental person like everyone can be.

"Okay grandma, that's him. Please don't be too much."

"Be too much?! My grand-baby is going on her first date!"

"Grandma! This isn't a date. We're two friends going to a school dance."

"If you say so!"

I try hard not to roll my eyes as I turn around to open the door.

"Oh! He looks so handsome!"

He gives my grandma a polite smile before holding out his hand.

"Hello, I'm Namjoon."

She takes his hand and shakes it before smirking towards me.

"Wow he's so polite too!"

Once they're done shaking hands, I kind of make my way around her to get out in the hallway with him.

"Okay, bye grandma."

I try pulling the door shut, but she stops me...

"Don't stay out too late! But I trust you, young man. You'd use protection right?"

"Oh grandma! Seriously!"

I pull the door quickly and start practically dashing down the hallway.

When I get to the stairs, Namjoon catches up to me while laughing a bit.

"Your grandmother's quite a character isn't she?"

"Yeah, just ignore what she said. She can be so embarrassing sometimes.."

He lets out a few more laughs before we just silently get into his car.

After a few more seconds of excruciating silence, he thankfully speaks up.

"You look pretty tonight by the way."

"Oh thank you.."

I brush off my dress to be sure I got all the wrinkles out of it.
