Hydra needed something new. Their asset was loosing traction, failing where he's had never failed before. The infamous Steve Rogers was sparking something in the soldier, some sort of memory that they couldn't force out of his mind. Every time the soldier saw him he would slowly begin remembering more and more, their solution? Blind him.
Soviet hydra base 2016
"Soldat, Get up" Bucky knew the drill by now, get up walk to door, get cuffed, get blindfolded, and get lead to the chair. This time however when the blind fold was taken off he was in one of the many labs in the facility. As Bucky's eyes adjusted to the new dim green light he saw a metal pail on the floor by the operating table, and another on the table beside it. The second was full with a aggressive sour smelling, bubbling liquid. Before Bucky was given anymore time to scan the room he was shoved onto the bed and strapped down with metal cuffs, he knew this meant to expect pain. "Soldat we are using you to test something because you are failing, think of this as both a punishment and a new weapon" and with that the doctor picked up the pail with the liquid in it and began to poor it on Bucky's eyes.
Bucky's POV
A scream tore itself from my mouth as the acid burned its way into my eyes. Pain was all I felt until I passed out.
Time skip Bucky's cell
I wake up laying on the familiar corse-ness of the caught that was my bed. I had assumed that i had yet to open my eyes because i could see nothing at all but when i tried to open them I found they already were. Fear coursed through me as I processed what had happened yesterday, i was blind.
