A Fresh start

My dad walked through the door after work, just like a normal day in Texas, but he seemed more excited then usual. I asked him why he was so excited he told me "it finally happened. I was really confused in till he told me he got a promotion and that we are moving out to Connecticut. I was so excited because my best friend Nikki got the same promotion around a year ago. My dad and her dad work for the same company. It was a couple weeks later and Nikki still didn't know I was moving there, I decided to surprise her instead.

When I got off the airplane I looked out the window it was raining a lot, way more than Texas. We found are luggage and than went to go find our car. My dad already bought a car, and got it dropped off at the airport. It was about a 20 minute drive to my new house, I unpacked right away and asked my mom to drop me off at Nikki's. Once I got up to the door and knocked on it, I was waiting for Mrs. Allen to answer, but to my surprise Nikki answered it! Jordin! She squealed as soon as she saw me. "When did you get here?" She asked. I got here an hour ago, I already unpacked everything! Unpack?Nikki asked as she raised a eyebrow. She started to clue in, oh your dad got the promotion?! I nodded. She asked me what's been going on as she gestured for me to sit down. Nothing much. Nothing much Nikki said after. I haven't seen you for one year and you say not much?! Ok, guess who got bucked off Princess and broke her nose and arm! It was so good to be back with my best friend!
