Back at her home, everyone was in a panic. There was a complete frenzy to find the missing bride. There was so much chaos around that no one except for Prince Claus, her fiance, noticed the wite silk piece of her torn dress on a nearby tree branch at the edge of the forest. Quietly, he slipped away, following a trail her shoes left on the soft ground. After an hour or so, he as well came to the clearing. Knowning what the ring of flowers meant, he pinched his nose and held the piece of silk to his nose. after looking around in the flowers, he found Katherine's sleeping body. Claus smiled to himslf and picked her up, making sure to keep his nose pinched. Once far enough away from the flowers, he slippde the piece of silk into his pocket, taking a relieved breath.
Claus set Katherine down, waiting for her to wake. After a moment, she stirred and her eyes fluttered open. She looked at Claus, worry in her eyes. "My apologies, my lord. I should not have run away," she said as her memories flooded back. Claus smiled. "M'lady, no need to apologise." He lifted her back into his arms and began following the trail bakc. "But ladies should not go into the forest, and especially not those who are to be princesses." Katherine sighed, having heard the same speech from her mother many times. "Yes, my lord." she answered softly.
When brought back to Katherine's home, the entire manor seemed to breath a sigh of relief, glad that they didn't lose a prince as well. The pair were wed and shipped off to the castle. Kathrine, the girl who wanted to adventure, adventured through a castle instead of through a forest.
