Webby was getting irritably frustrated. She couldn't see, hear, or feel anything.
Not to mention she's been walking around for hours and already she's slipped through what felt like tar and lost her night vision goggles, chased by Shadow Crows that clawed and pecked at her whenever she got close to a portal, and had little luck finding the right one that would lead her to Louie.
Webby fuddled around in the darkness as she thought of the first time she ever entered the Shadow Realm. It was only for a few seconds and she had almost gotten lost.
The very reason she and Lena had been practicing Shadow Magic was to prevent things like this happening to her family. She figured this way if anything happened to them while she was on one of her missions then she'd be able to pop in, pop out and get them home safely.
Lena wasn't for it at first. She wanted to stay as far away from the realm as possible, but Webby begged her, after what happened last time with Soran she didn't want to take any other chances that something like that would happen again.
Violet didn't like it either. She was the one who explained the risks for using such magic. The two sisters had tried reasoning with her many times and the only thing Webby could get them to agree on with her was that her family would be a lot better off if she could use the Shadow Realm as a smoke screen against her enemies.
How Lena couldn't do what Webby can was because she was an actual Shadow. Not someone living and breathing. When she banished Magica De Spell in the Shadow Realm she had to reverse her into a shadow to make sure she couldn't escape.
She was so lost in thought that she almost didn't notice a void had popped up in front of her. She studied it, not liking the fact that it had just appeared in front of her. Like it was beckoning her to it. The portals in the shadow realm usually avoid living things. Finding one was hard, it was like looking for a needle in a haystack.
Webby slowly took a step towards it. Something about that void made her blood run cold.
In the end thought, she decided what choice did she have? It wouldn't let her pass it, for it kept blocking her way. She sighed deeply, closed her eyes and stepped through the void.
"Well, it's about time." Said a familiar chilling voice.
Webby's eyes snapped open and stared at Magica De Spell.
"You." Webby snarled. Her heart was racing. She had a feeling it would be something like this. Why else would the protal had been purple? Or had practically been stalking her since she arrived. It was because Magica De Spell was controlling it.
"Me." Magica agreed.
She looked almost the same as when Webby last saw her, her image was more brighter then Webby's was. She no longer had her staff or her powers so Webby wasn't at all worried about her using that on her, but she still didn't relax.
"I really don't have time for this," Webby said with bitterness in her voice, "what do you want?" She asked.
Magica had been sitting on a black throne that was made up of crystalized black spikes but she got up and strolled over to Webby before answering,
"I heard through the grape vine that you've gotten yourself into quite a jam since we last seen each other." She began.
"How'd -?" Webby asked.
"Don't tell me you forgotten that we shadows can still be a part of the outside world?" Magica told her coolly. She said the word shadow as if she wasn't one.
Webby stared at her. She did forget.
"Okay, fine." Webby snapped at her. "Yes. I'm in a bind and I don't have time to chat with you, so if you don't have anything else to say -." Webby turned away from her, about to take a leap back through the portal.
