Crap!!
My phone is ringing and showing Paarth's caller id.
I really forgot to call him yesterday after landing here. He is my best friend from the time we were babies. Or you can call us chuddy- buddies. We were inseparable till the time l was here but got somewhat distant when l shifted to States. I never came back here but he used to come there to meet us in vacations. Am happy that we can spend more time with each other since am back now.
Right now am thinking of a way to convince him as to why l didn't call him yesterday. I never forget to call him back and this was the first time yesterday. He would surely go mad after listening my words than he would be now.
I hesitantly picked his call. I was just about to greet him when he blasted my ears by shouting," What the hell Rand!!! Why didn't you call me after reaching India?? I would have picked all of you. No wait!! Why didn't you call me in the evening as well!! Will you speak something or not??"
"Agar tu mujhe bolne dega toh bolunga na" I said chuckling a bit. [ if you let me speak then only l would be able to speak right??]
"Ya right...speak now!!" He let out a sigh.
"Yesterday l was really frustrated after landing here. I just wanted to sleep so l slept as soon as we reached our new house. In evening l woke up at dinner time so after having dinner, l started spending time by watching shows on Netflix. Sorry bhai bhul gya tujhe call karna!! Maaf karde please!!!" I explained him patiently. [ Sorry brother l forgot to call you.. please forgive me!!!]
"Ok ok!! I forgive you... now tell me are you at home right now?? Wanted to meet you badly!!!" He said dramatically.
"Na am in AIIMS right now...have already attended first lecture"
"WHAT???" He yelled
" What what??" I asked
"U joined AIIMS seriously??"
" Han toh?? Did you forget it is my dream college?? I always wanted to study here!!" Now l was really getting frustrated.
"I remember but the same college in which Sanyukta studies??" He asked me as if he has forgotten that there is only one AIIMS in Delhi NCR.
"She is in the same college??" I asked though l was not surprised too much.
"Yeah brother!! By the way, why aren't you surprised??"
"That is because l had a feeling she would be joining this college...this was her dream college as well!!" I replied him shrugging.
"How will you react when you meet her??"
"Why do l have to meet her in the first place??" I replied him by asking a question itself.
"Chal chhod!! Enjoy...shamko tere ghar aa rha hu...ready ho jaiyo..we will be going to the club!! Ok??" [ Am coming to your place in evening. Be ready..will be going to the club ok??]
"Ok bye!!"
"Bye" he hung the call then.
