'Can you write Cage Wallace with a male reader that is one of his subordinates and after an attempt on his life he is supposed to guard him in his room alone while he sleeps, and they get close?'

A: Thankyou for the request! I enjoyed writing this one :)

Summary: After a bombing in Mount Weather, Cage Wallace is rushed to his room after the bomber announced that he would be his next target. A guard is sent to protect Cage from inside his room and they talk to pass time.

The people of Mount Weather are gathered in the Mess Hall silently as they listen to Cage Wallace present his speech. It was so silent a pin could have been heard falling onto the ground as he spoke, the people listening on eagerly to support their Leaders. Adults and children alike stand around the sole podium in the room, gazes firmly locked, guards positioned on the outside of the crowd, ready to protect. At that point in time, it was eerily silent, a kind of silence that would drive someone insane if exposed to for too long.

"We must make sacrifices in order to thrive as a community." Cage Wallace projects, high and mighty above the people. Speaking as if he were talking to a group of onlooking toddlers, numb and oblivious to his innovative ideology. Cage smiles at the surrounding faces, each looking towards him with an intent stare, he always liked being of higher status than everyone because it meant all would worship him like a god and follow him into the unknown. He looks down at the stand in front of him and adjusts his feet, taking his time and relishing in the moment, knowing they would wait for him.

"That is why I believe-" the breath is knocked out of him as he is thrown into the wall by a strong force. Cage falls to the ground and alarmingly looks up to see what had done this. The sight horrifies him, partly because his vision was filled with people screaming and children crying, partly because multiple of his own people lay dead on the ground with missing limbs, but what scared him the most was that throughout all the commotion and noise, he couldn't hear a single thing. The ground eventually stopped shaking and all the uninjured people rushed towards the middle of the Mess Hall where the explosion went off. The broken building continued secreting dust that polluted the air and impaired people's sights from the horror that was reality. Cage sat there numbly staring at the scene so intensely that he doesn't feel himself being pulled up by someone who he later recognises to be the General. He looks towards the man who is shouting unknown sentences to him, still unable to hear apart from the constant ringing that began to fade away.

"There's been an attack!" The General shouts in his ear so loudly that anyone who could hear properly would have burst their eardrums listening to. However, to Cage, it rendered only as a whisper, if that.

"What's happened?" Cage mumbles in disbelief as he is now being dragged away from the scene.

"There's been a bombing in the Mess Hall. We lost civilians sir." The General points out, pretty much carrying Cage at this point even though he is capable of walking, his body prevented any movement.

"How many General!" Cage Wallace shouts back trying to piece together the situation,

"13 sir. We found a note left outside before the attack." General replies as Cage's expression drops severely. Trying to ignore the number he changes the topic,

"Tell me what it said."

He gets handed a small piece of paper and unfolds it slowly. The sides are burnt from the explosion however he can tell that whoever did this wanted this piece of paper to be read after the attack.
