Why exactly did he end up in this situation? Mike looked at the factory facade with contempt. In fact, that was his expression for most things ... But it definitely disgusted him on an extraordinary level.
Willy Wonka's chocolate factory ... Ew.
He was one of the children who received the Gold Ticket. On the one hand, he prided himself on his intelligence and on showing everyone how easy it was to break into the system. For him, it was like stealing candy from a baby. Thinking about it ... Ew. On the other hand, he kind of regretted ... It was no secret that he hated sweets!
Along the way, his father told him to behave and try to be kind. But, let's be honest ... Mike has a strong temper and a short temper. That was his way. If he wants to be cool, he would be! Even though he doesn't know how to do this ...
Mike shivered in the cold wind and stuck his hands in his jacket, not worrying whether he would wrinkle the note or not. Looking to the right, he analyzed the other four winners without caring if it would make them uncomfortable to face. He could have researched more about the others, but honestly he didn't care.
In the right row were Violet Beauregarde, Augustus Gloop, Charlie Bucket and Veruca Salt. He looked closely at each of them, already seeing in his mind what they were like, participating in the TV interviews that his parents insisted on seeing. He looked once, twice, three times without haste. It would take a few minutes for the gates to open. Everyone looked so annoying ... He looked again at that Charlie Bucket, looking him up and down. For some reason, Mike wanted to keep looking at the boy.
Teavee looked at her son, knowing that he always analyzed people. But looking at his face, he saw that Mike didn't have his face contorted in a frown. Was it more ... Curiosity? Maybe it is that. This made Mr. Teavee surprised. Mike was looking at someone without his usual contempt, and his father thought that if he did, it would be scary. And he wondered who his son was looking at. But he thought it best not to ask, because Mike would be irritated. And Mr. Teavee was happy that his son was calm, at least for now.
The more Mike looked at him, the more curious and confused he felt. This kid looked annoying like everyone else, so why couldn't Mike stop looking? Or rather, he didn't want to stop looking! Charlie was talking animatedly to who Teavee thought was his grandfather. Probably happy to be there. It looked like something was going on at the bottom of little Teavee, and he saw no logic in it. Mike started to get angry because he still didn't understand what was going on. And when Charlie smiled, it got worse.
Teavee gave a small start when his son snarled looking at the floor. Knowing her son, she knew that he had his fists clenched and frowning. Mike was annoyed. And your father had no idea why. And even in fear, he asked:
- Mike, are you okay?- he asked, concerned about his son's strange behavior.
- Sure, why the question?- Mike murmured in a calm and fake voice, looking at his father.
- You looked upset, so I thought it best to ask ...- Mr. Teavee knew the moment his son closed his expression that something was going on.
- I'm fine, dad! Can you stop interrogating me now?- Mike snarled again, turning forward
And there was Mike that he knew ... Mr. Teavee didn't really understand his son. Still curious about his son's expression, when he looked at one of the other winners and wanted to ask. But he decided against it. He knew Mike and knew very well that, in addition to not telling, he would be angrier than he already was.
The gates were only minutes away. Some were excited, others impatient and others just wanting to get in to escape the cold. Up until...
The gates started to open.
